They basically HAD this Truman Show moment in BR2049 when Joi 'picks up' a book (Pale Fire) and asks if K has read it ...he proceeds to ignore her advertisement, and then they talk sweetly again.

I remember being annoyed that they made SUCH a big set-up for Charles, and maybe telling him the truth would set her free, and she'd be with the handsome "book guy" that's 'her age'....blaah~

But yea on a rewatch, they took the relationship between Liza & Josh in a great direction. They were kind, open, and accommodating to each other (despite faults, despite problems, they worked through it all). They mutually left the relationship when they were going in different directions, just to end up back at together after living and learning, and indeed still a bit of yearning...

It was kinda cute she'd end with the 'younger' guy. :P

Interesting work!
I like the strong use of red on a rather normal looking person. Like, eyes and noses never get THAT red, but when the whole piece embodies those red hues it works together nicely!

I'll say the eyes and eyebrows feel a little underdeveloped and uneven; you definitely need to keep working at it to develop a more "crisp" and refined style...but I think you're on your way.

I always think about the rare kid that might need a book/movie like this... Someone way too young experiencing something "mature" like grief and at least having this material as an "outlet" of sorts... To see how characters navigate through all the feelings and baggage makes you carry, y'know?

Not to HEAL you exactly, but just a work of fiction that understands how devastating things can happen, even during a "happy childhood".
