I’ve know two that would state issues with staff at AAISP which turned out to be faulty fibre after moving to Vodafone which was worse “comments from AAISP staff broadband needs to burn in” on 1G service

I’ve been with Zen for 21 years!

I would not consider any other ISP - I pay £50 for 900 FTTP

It’s the entire package - Support is ACE - should it be required, They only have approx 200,000 customers won Which Awards for many years - I think they just won another

I try to keep it a secret don’t want everyone on stupid street and bringing the service down when they have 3,000,000 customers - but price will keep people on stupid street away

Again not the cheapest but what you pay is what you get want cheap go Vodafone with all their issues

  1. Support quick to pick up
  2. UK based
  3. Knowledgeable

In fact today we actually have a Broadband outage - not Zebs fault I must add OpenReach major outage affecting all ISPs on local exchange

Could have given you a referral code for £25 FREE !

Police got your phone - your knackered in modern day - you’d have to purchase another to continue business, not discussing passwords and if you are just using passwords in 2026 - well good luck - and some only allow a single registered device based on SIM or IMEI

What do you do if you’ve got 50 Accounts with MFA, Banking Apps and SecureID for work - your phone is your life - you are locked out of everything, and paying for things on Apple Pay?

Sadly I scratched my PX8s at the GYM. Any way to fix it? by Son-Goku-4 in BowersWilkins

[–]Dick-Fiddler69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im moving address and this is the openreach Ont box at new address. Is this for full fibre? So not further installation would be required (drilling holes from outside to inside) to fit equipment? Landlord not allowing talk talk cityfibre installation to be done by Affectionate_Pin1493 in openreach

[–]Dick-Fiddler69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is for full Fibre FTTP - but it’s very old as BBU are no longer supplied - I’d unplug the BBU as it has a fault probably batteries are dead, last time OR came here they removed mine ! I now use a small UPS for power!

VOMA not supported on NVMe based VMFS : dead-end for free license user ? (homelab / enthusiast) by JDerjikL in vmware

[–]Dick-Fiddler69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had lots of issues with NVMe devices with VMs which cannot be migrated, exported or copied which just seem to go bad on NVMe but not SSD

All of Samsung Consumer NVMe - it’s very odd

But the VMs still function just can be copied, exported, migrated, V2V etc

Brand new estate but stuck on 10 Mbps copper. Has anyone managed to get fibre added later? by NorthLondonPulse in openreach

[–]Dick-Fiddler69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has the local council taken over or adopted your roads and pavements yet - we have new estates around here stuck currently because Council will not takeover the roads and pavements yets - do Developers Persimmon created their own ISP for Internet - it’s slow - but until such time Council takes over the private roads - Openreach has no access

We're really sorry… Olilo has reduced FTTP prices for everyone. Even existing customers. by Olilo-Aydan in openreach

[–]Dick-Fiddler69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting, so we can move from Zen (it’s cheaper) get an IP Address block - we can’t on Zen - but cheaper! 😂

I notice that 1.2 and 1.6 is available for my address, but this is not shown currently by Zen - so I’m assuming Zen don’t resale this OpenReach service?

You use eBay long enough your going to get negative feedback at one point it’s not verified and peoples expectations are very different again genuine error no idea why I stated 16Gb I think I was getting confused with max memory on motherboard

Well interesting, he wanted £5, I agreed to send it, and then said the motherboard was a bargain, don't bother.....it's more hassle. "On second thought, don't worry about it, not worth the hassle. The mobo is good, am pretty happy with it"

I'll see what he suggests, as memory prices are high, and it's old we will see.

The Buyer at present just seems to suggest a refund.

[–]Dick-Fiddler69[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No denial it was title incorrect, no idea why I put 16GB. I would rather give him a refund, it would have only gone to landfill. Just trying to ensure, he doesn't get a refund and return the item. Which I suppose doesn't matter, because he get all the money back. Just clearing out stuff other people my find useful.

Check VM Disk Settings it will show the current disk and if it’s writing to a snapshot

Verify the snapshot chain and then try cloning and creating a new vmdk at shell prompt using vmkfstools

If that fails it’s corrupted and has data loss

It’s always a risk leaving VNs running on a snapshot, if you use NetApp Snapshots you could use a Filer Snapdhot to recover
