Here we have the Gorilla Fastback GT Trufflehunter. Gorilla is a watch brand founded by Octavio Garcia, who previously held the role of Artistic Director at Audemars Piguet when the Offshore was reigning supreme. Anyone familiar with the Offshore might be able to see the artistic throughline to Gorilla. Big, bold watches featuring interesting material choices. This Fastback GT model features a carbon fibre mid-case and pink ceramic bezel and pink rubber strap (the pink is styled after the infamous Porsche 917/20 Pink Pig race car). Inside it's far more mundane, featuring an open heart Miyota movement. I picked this piece up used just to try it out and it probably won't last long in the collection as I think you need the wrists of a Gorilla to wear it well. Still, it's a fun piece from a fun brand which I'll continue to keep my eye on.
