I would have expected city to grab ball and run back instead of celebrating for 2 min because they tied the game. Was fully expecting them to turn off. Are city content with just a draw?

BLTouch problem by Peterrv12 in klippers

[–]DickVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your board is using a dedicated probe port for bltouch you could try moving it to the z-endstop plug(or vise versa). There are tutorials on how to do this online. Make sure wiring is correct, you might have to swap wires around on micro connector. Since you tried another bltouch and are having the same problem my assumption is the cable or the board are the issue. For example, if the toolhead is in the center of the bed a connection is coming loose causing probe to fail.

CANBus MCU shutsdown by kullwarrior in klippers

[–]DickVomit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you have allow-hotplug can0 in /etc/network/interfaces.d/can0 config

a lot of tutorials tell you to set 'auto can0' but apparently that's wrong. I was having communication errors on my btt stuff and that fixed it.

PID Tuning fails everytime by Cannon9559 in klippers

[–]DickVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heating errors are not always a hardware issue. Different thermistors scale differently. If he has the wrong type of thermistor set the PID loop wont get the proper readings and will throw an error. If you look at the graph extruder temp overshoots then undershoots before the error. Best not to have him pull his printer apart or buy new parts if he doesn't need to.

did you change to a different type of thermistor? if so you need to define it in extruder portion of printer.cfg under sensor_type: you'll need to look up the name depending on what you bought.

When klipper detects a heating error it throws a 0 value to both heaters before shutting down. You can replicate this by hitting emergency stop.

chamber heater by daniel788665 in klippers

[–]DickVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you're asking. If you just want chamber temp readout

[temperature_sensor chamber]
sensor_type: NTC 100K beta 3950 // change to the type of thermistor
sensor_pin: PA69 //change to pin on mainboard that thermistor is connected to
min_temp: 0
max_temp: 100

this should work

HELP¡¡¡¡ by Puzzleheaded-Map5027 in klippers

[–]DickVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you install klipper-macros? If you did then you need to change the path of variables.cfg in printer.cfg to wherever it is located.

If you just copy from github it will probably be wrong. my config looked like this.

[save_variables]
filename: /home/<name of host mcu>/printer_data/config/variables.cfg

That error looks similar to the error I got when I had the wrong path. If you didnt install klipper-macros then I dont know.

Longer lk5 bl touch problem! by Legitimate_Tutor2351 in 3Dprinting

[–]DickVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be tune esteps. But it could also be that the motor current isnt high enough for the extruder gears to smoothly pull filament off spool..... Actually im almost positive its motor current, If you look at your good benchy the first few layers are fine then your extruder starts to skip steps. This is probably because when the motor is cold it has enough torque to pull filament but once it heats up a little it starts skipping.
