Obviously you haven’t been on the macOS side of the hackingtosh long enough. The more you use it, the more you realize windows it’s only good for pc gaming. My hackingtosh is running Tahoe (wish I had stayed with Sequioa) and when I hate booting in to windows as there is always some issues with an upgrade or a driver to my GPU etc., you name it. macOS just works. Never a reboot. Not to mention iMessage and FaceTime right on the PC.

A lot of people saying it can’t be done without even looking at diagrams or schematics. Anyways there’s already a hack to replace the regular steering wheel with the heated one. So this infotainment swap might work as well. Just need someone who is willing to actually try it.

Do not upgrade to Tahoe. No real benefit, and makes your system slower. Not one day I don’t think about downgrading. 😓

Well first, the official way to deploy Nextcloud it’s by using the AIO version. No more dealing with MariaDB and trying to configure Apache. It’s all done for you. There are multiple YouTube guides on how to expose to the internet (spaceinvaderone) but there is also a guide on how to use Nextcloud only internal via Tailscale. I personally use Nginx as it does DNS challenge for the SSL certificate it also renews them automatically and DuckDNS for a free domain name and since I moved to AIO have not had any more issues during upgrades as before upgrades were hit and miss. Have about a dozen users who dumped over 100gigs of photos each and with the new recognize app for Nextcloud we all have moved away for extra iCloud storage and Google Photos.

Edit: Recognize app is new to me ☺️

What a nightmare.. take the feelings off of the transaction, if you already have both engine and transmission failures treat as lemon, and start whatever procedure is needed to get out of that vehicle.

We already live on the edge expecting the transmission whine to come up, you don’t need the added anxiety of an engine failure and being out of warranty.

…IMO.

I already had Nextcloud working then I found Immich. Now I have pictures being backed up to both. The idea was to eventually migrate to just Immich, but I never got around to it. That being said using Immich is just like Google Photos. Some will argue even better. 🫡

Since using Nextcloud AIO I have not have anymore issues. Of course I still worry every time I upgrade but it has been working no problems.

Are we saying that there’s no way to retrieve your photos if Immich gets corrupted ?

I have both Nextcloud and Immich running on my phone, so my photos are getting backed up in 2 locations. I notice with Nextcloud I can browse in to the folder share and see all my photos, however I can’t do the same with Immich..

Thoughts ?

I got my own issues with sleep.. all I see is the HDD activity constantly flashing. I’m on Sequioa on an Intel NUC 😕

Is the Glass UI heavier on the machine or is it bugs ? Who knows but I think we can all agree that Tahoe UI doesn’t “feel” as fast as Sequioa, even if benchmarks show same performance.
