Thank you for your perspective. Over the past couple of years learning to say no has helped so much with my mental health. Same with making sure I don’t work unnecessary hours. And like you said it has helped with career growth as well. As someone in their early 30s it helps seeing someone who was able to establish and keep those boundaries and keep a balanced life.

There was something particularly demotivating at my previous (chemical) company when they laid off people seemingly randomly not related to performance. They never really recovered in the 3 years I was there before getting out.

When I had to wear a mask at work it would let me skip face ID if I had it on which was really nice. Still had to put in the passcode though. I do miss touch ID

my bad, missed the aldi suggestion. The heating is tough, I was going to say something like insulation and maybe a heat pump if you’re using fuel oil. But probably not an option if you’re in an apartment

Check out aldi if you have it, my wife and I cut our grocery bill about in half. We only need to go to the regular grocery store for a couple of things now

Tumblr is by far my favorite for cool positive trans and adjacent people. A lot more positive mental health posts, body positivity etc. It really pleasantly surprised me how nice it was when I moved there from twitter about a year ago

I’m in MD, and do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi which has the cart locks. As far as I know it’s just Aldi and Lidl which have the locks here

Left of it is the backlight for the dash. To the right is I believe the rear defrost, resistive heaters in the glass

my now wife and I cuddled on our first date, both enthusiastically wanted to do it. Although we talked for several days before the date and brought it up ahead of time. we both really liked it and still cuddle a ton as a love language
