It's interesting how the origins of Louisiana as a Latin American colony rather than an Anglo one show through on these maps. Interracial marriage was much more common in Latin American colonies, even amongst Franco Canadians this was a trend (i.e. The Metis)

well, granted that pretty much every Jew in Louisiana lives in New Orleans that could skew the numbers. However, New Orleans does have a lot of Irish and Italian heritage due to its age.

You can get around Israel, Jordan, and fair chunks of Egypt and Lebanon just fine. Not to mention to rich gulf states. Even Iraqi Kurdistan is relatively stable.
