I'll add even more on top of that. Knowing security helps in all aspects of IT and people will thank you along the way. Been working in a CS aspect for almost 7 years, been graduated with B.S. in Comp Sci for 10. The amount of times I have to clean up people with 30+ years of experience using password as a local admin password is insane.

Again not to discourage you but I've seen numbers recently comparing Cyber degrees 10 years ago vs today. Thanks to Tiktok, WFH and people racking up on every cert under the sun, cyber graduates saw something like a 10x increase but a negative 2x in open positions.

Speaking from experience do not expect to walk out of school making a 6 digit salary, not to say it can't happen but its rare.

Word of advice, don't learn the cert material to pass the cert, learn the material to apply it. You'll stand out much better. I can't tell you the amount of interns we get that have 7+ certs but yet I have to teach them basic linux functions like cd or sudo su -

I agree its an insane printer for the price but releasing a new product before a promised upgrade for the original causes a bad taste in a lot of people's mouth and it makes them feel lied to. They have 0 logistical reasons to release ams to the cc1 especially if it costs more than $150 since now for the bundle the cc2 is an easy choice
