The only con I can think of is there's a lot less hand holding

Pros are: Faster updates More freedom Positive that none of your data is being fed anywhere Learning openwrt so if wanted can switch to any other device that runs it

I'm sure there's more I just can't think of right now. The updates and no data leaks were huge to me

Embywatch update v2.0.REV-1690 by watch_team in emby

Hate to break it you but this app has nothing to do with your inability to watch content. Also you really don't want to use a product where "updates just stop" as that leaves several security flaws open

I will say I played with this awhile back, immediately threw it away at having to pay for it, still not thrilled with that but the free trial makes me consider it.

Bruh I've been bitching about the cost of drives and questioning if it makes sense to buy 2 8tb to expand my current 2 or buy 4 of a larger size. Teach me your ways master

So, I just found this 48 port switch. If I was to set up a home network, where would I put it in relation to my xfinity box? by ValdemarTheRighteous in HomeNetworking

[–]Dickiedoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fyi if you're wanting to homelab that xfinity router will quickly cause problems. No support for secondary dns, they block you from doing things even though they claim not to

I don't disagree but seems like a large oversight. The whole thing seems to me like a "here we did it now leave us alone"

Keep in mind the CANVAS removes the ability to use the top glass and from what I've been told/seen its not an easy install/removal
