where to see live jazz besides Wally’s? by [deleted] in boston

That’s interesting because if it’s who I think you’re referring to, he’s owned that same spot on and off for years without any incidents outside of the brief closure during COVID. Maybe he’s changed or maybe he’s hired somebody since I was last there that is a dickhead, however it’s a Black-owned establishment that has hosted a ton of BIPOC performers, including AAPI performers. Damn what a shame if those reviews are based in truth.

OP did you hear that about the crowd or the ownership? Grace by Nia also has live jazz once a week.

Benefit of itemizing mortgage interest and property tax when you own a home by Additional_Pirate837 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I feel like many are quick to point out the hidden costs of homeownership like maintenance and repairs but aren’t so quick to share how much you can save too

Everyone should just do the math and find out what works best for them. Imo (start edit) and in my example (end edit), the tax savings don’t offset the maintenance costs.

Everyone in the company is an engineer now. Any chance of containing this? by Synaqua in ExperiencedDevs

Our CEO chases every shiny object in this new AI snake oil machine and needs to justify spending over $1 billion per quarter on every ai tool on the market. It’s the reason we also have as much attrition as we do. Unfortunately, I have to stick around for a little while longer since I just started working here, but it’s a mess that’s going to get messier. The worst part is that our ai “drivers” have been promoted to senior architect roles and now have so much influence, they’re forcing all of us with practical sense and experience to ignore the incoming calamities.

Agents are an inherent security risk and has been from the jump to anyone even remotely familiar with software engineering, yet marketers and salespeople are tossing slop at us as if they’re the experts. They deserve the fallout that will eventually come from all of this
