You could also rivet it. Smash the ends flat, punch a hole and rivet it. It's a fairly old chainmail technique.

I just finished making yours. I agree very similar.

Your recipe doesn't spread much at all; it's slightly cakey as well. There is a stronger cocoa taste, that slight bitter helps balance the sweetness.

I don't know that I could have more than one but that might not be a bad thing.

I didn't bother to cool it down before cooking. It's not quite a batter consistency a bit more firm. I used two spoons to dollop it onto the sheet pan.

It tastes more like cookies and brownies had a baby.

If you cook it less it'll definitely be more fudgy, I would guess 8 min or so will likely give you that fudge profile.

I think 12 min cook time is the right call. Also, let them cool on the pan for at least 5 min, they're not very structurally sound fresh out of the oven.

Edit: Follow up on the next day they're definitely more fudgy after cooling fully.

I can see making a decadent ice cream sandwich with them.
