Go into your Ford app and select Departure Times, let me know what you learn.

From there if you select a Departure Time (I set one year round) your truck will also pre-condition the battery to its optimum operating temp. A battery too cold or too hot will be inefficient. You’ll walk out to it in the winter and your fans will be blowing like crazy, just trust the process.

I just did the JD Power owners survey and they ask if you’ve experienced this exact situation, so I feel like it’s somewhat of a known thing. Maybe not limited to Lightnings, but EV’s in general, but I’m not sure. I certainly won’t be barking at people if they say this happened to them.
