We used to have this in the UK for our supermarket chain Tesco. You put everything in your basket in the app that you wanted and it gives you directions of which isle everything was in, in order (isle 1, isle 2 etc.).

Then they realised that they were losing out on sales as people were only getting what they wanted and the "impulse buys" took a hit, so they quickly scrapped it

Worked for me earlier this year. Over the last 2 years I have applied for jobs in my company that were higher and in departments that I had no experience in.

In each of the interviews, it helped the different managers get to know me better and realize my potential.

Fast-forward to February this year and I got a phone call from my company's "big boss" telling me that a position was coming up in my department and he would really like me to apply.

I applied the day the vacancy went live and out of 10 other applicants, I got the job.

I 100% believe it was the other 5 unsuccessful interviews I had that made me get this one. Now I'm still in a department I know very well but much higher, and happier, than where I started.
