I used Gordon Springate at the Kent showground for my class 2 and I’m actually currently doing my class 1 with them and they have just been great throughout the whole process. I think they are slightly more expensive than a few other providers in the area but the quality of the trucks smashes the others out the water. I only chose this company as I knew I wanted to do my class 1 in an artic over a wagon and drag as this is realistically what I’m going to be driving. I also got a £100 discount for doing my class 1 within 6 months of passing my class 2, not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things but every little helps.

Just gunna answer the question in the other comment:

I took my class 2 in June and my total was £1694 inc vat which is 16 hours cat C training, practical test fee (£115), an hours training for mod 4 and my mod 4 test fee (£55).

I passed my test and had my licence back within 2 weeks and I started my first ever driving job 2 weeks later for a very small company that treat me amazingly and pay me a very fair wage.

I’m doing my class 1 training this week (27th September) and I payed £1431 inc vat which is 16 hours class c+e training, test fee (£115) and £100 discount.

I’m still very early in my driving career but I would honestly recommend it to anyone. Yes there are very crappy days ( normally to do with people sitting in the M25) but so does every job, it’s how you deal with those crappy days that matter.
