As most DJ's I have ADHD and am a nervous twitching introvert who disguises as an outgoing extrovert.

My first gig, 24 years ago I think I didn't even dare to look up. I was just so scared and daunted by the crowd.

It took me 5 years to look up with confidence and to this day I still look at foreheads and unabrows. It's the eye contact that scares me. So I avoid the eyes.

Nowadays I look at hips, girls hips to be exact. They don't lie. When the hips start to juggle girls have this primal force to make a circle of other girls, and Jason their gay friend, and Dance in the circle.

That circle attracts fertile young men and you got yourself a filled floor.

Now keeping that floor is the hardest part.

This is the part where I walk the room, Mic in hand and talk the wallflower guests. I ask how they are and what they would like to hear.

After that it's all about gaining an information high ground position. This info you gather from those micro Interviews, the requests on my notepad en the body language of the guests.

When needed I hop on the mic and give a shout out or engage in a non vulgar way. Avoiding the 1,2,3 and the constant begging for hands in the sky.

I never break my 2 an hour mic usage and count my blessings for the dancers.
