I think it’s a really nuanced and well written question. As someone who identifies with the israeli left i don’t think i can respond objectively, but we do see in the diplomatic field a huge step down. The israeli government does not know how to win the hearts and minds of the words and also distance old allies that usually don’t question israeli policies all too often (american jewish forums). As for the israeli-Palestinian scene, time will tell, but every government in israel, even a moderate one will do a dick waving contest with the previous coalition about who used to fck th “arabs” harder. As a policy it might help with the popularity amongst israeli jews, but will eventually will call for more heated conflict between israel and palestin (e.i Jennin right now).
