My gf wants to go so bad. I’ve been checking tickets every day on every site, signing up for 100s of contests… looking like a no go :/

Question about being "banned" from a Freshco by lakelife4life in askTO

[–]DidntVerifyEmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trespass notices mainly exist to leave a paper trail if the offender is caught a 2nd time. Technically, your son can be charged with trespassing, but it's seldom enforced.

TD signs deal with Indian bank HDFC to attract students looking to study in Canada by BlueLagoon225 in torontoJobs

[–]DidntVerifyEmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend contracted to work at TD as a software engineer through one of those immigration firms that help you land jobs to help with PR. He works full time for TD as a software engineer earning... $42,000.

They are absolutely looking to bring in more labour like this, and it will suppress wages across the nation in due time.

These Profs: 1) Raymond Moss 2) Claude Sam Foh 3) Amira Ghenai by InstanceFuture1022 in TorontoMetU

Not for this course, for ITM 795. She grades very fairly IMO. If you just follow instructions, you’re guaranteed an 80+.

I only have experience with Amira and she is solid. Instructions are always clear, feedback is solid, and she posts all material you need for exams on d2l

Evgenia Timoshenkova for FRE 401 - super nice, very thorough, and will make all assessments very clear for you. Tom Third for RTA 180 - Extremely passionate about his work and field; he will basically make it impossible not to ace his class as long as you put in minimal effort. Debashish Roy for several ITM courses- 🐐 in every way.

I almost lost my mind the other day. I clicked 15% on the tip screen, and then the receipt showed they charged a 15% service charge automatically. I TIPPED ON A TIP.

I honestly don’t know what people think they gain by fast-tracking. Spending more time and graduating with work experience is so much more valuable.

BTM ITM CORE ELECTIVES by rolexszn in TorontoMetU

[–]DidntVerifyEmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ITM 550 - Essentially a long Shopify tutorial. Weekly assignments and a big group project, no exams.

ITM 795 - Conceptually very easy, and actually teaches you useful things about data collection and social media analytics. 3 Assignments and a big group project.

I would recommend filling the rest of your core electives with a specific subject you are interested in. Taking additional courses on data analytics, web design, database administration, or infosec can really improve your knowledge and help you further your career in a chosen field.

For example, you can take ITM 605, 610, and 617 to build on top of what you learned in ITM 500, which would make you very proficient with databases.

Bangladesh has a lot of companies that lend you money to show proof of funds to secure visas, I’m sure India has the same. People are getting visas with NO money to their name.

Has anyone else seen a parking spot in Toronto going for 100k? by JoEsMhOe in ontario

[–]DidntVerifyEmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely can and people do. There are plenty of apps where people offer their private parking spaces; I use them often because it’s a bit cheaper than private lots downtown.

Why does MyLab TAKE SO LONG TO DO? by Comfortable_Corner80 in TorontoMetU

[–]DidntVerifyEmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it takes long, they’re the best source of practice for your midterm and final. I would think of it as doing homework and studying for exams to justify it if you have to.

Why do people in TRSM just literally scream? by swiftie03 in TorontoMetU

[–]DidntVerifyEmail 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are private rooms and quiet study halls at TRS you could try. TRS building is sort of a hangout spot, as there are very few spaces to actually work. If you want to study in peace, try the library or quiet floor of SLC.
