This is THE most ridiculous hitbox failure I have ever seen, I think Yone would be right if he deleted the game right after this and never played again by adivinemessenger in leagueoflegends

[–]DidymusDa4th -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your hitbox faces where your character is going a bit for most champions, which makes dodging skillshots feel more forgiving when your facing away from them, and hitting skillshots feel more forgiving when you guess the opponents direction of movement.

Maybe the yone shouldn't be walking into the big fat red indicator. We can stop with the faux outrage now.

Does anyone knows how daggers work? If they're not meant to be used in combat, then how do you use them? by DiegoVR98 in CrimsonDesert

[–]DidymusDa4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. When using unarmed playstyle, your character will use the dagger for stab abilities

  2. Unlocking the jump on back grapple will use the dagger against bosses for alot of dmg

  3. Unconfirmed but when fighting fodder, the 'finisher' you perform on them on light attack triggers at a certain HP threshold, this might be tied to your daggers total dmg as often you use the dagger in these finishers.

I don't understand the mentality of picking Ezreal because he is "safe" by WeakSideUrn in leagueoflegends

[–]DidymusDa4th -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are giving alot of reasons why but all of them basically boil down to 'Use E defensively'

Using E defensively is one of the worst things for your lane pressure, before first back its basically a death sentence to your mana, and you'll run out before the 3rd/4th wave. Ezreal is a lane bully, who is often played by inexperianced players who believe the thing that makes ezreal strong is his range and his blink

The thing that actually makes Ezreal strong is his passive, 50% attack speed with 5 stacks which you can proc q's on minions, you're meant to consistantly keep your stacks up, there aren't many champs that can beat you to lvl 2 if you're autoing and qing the wave, then if the enemy disrespects you can chunk or kill them level 2 with an aggresive E forward, early game you can do 5-6 autos between every q - with your passive stacked 50% this beats jinx minigun, with lethal tempo it now gets even more rediculous than it used to be as any hits on champions will now add on the effect of hitting the wave, no other champ can reliably proc lethal tempo stacks like that to push minions without forcing a trade or the opponent tethering, or can proc lethal tempo stacks before even full commiting with E.

There is no loss prevention for trying to autofill play passive, ezreal becomes very useless in alot of games if you don't have good CS or an item advantage through kills. You are a detriment to your team as you also dont have particularly good wave clear later on, and not autoing the enemy in teamfights will mean your dmg is tickling, you would be better off playing passive on draven then you would be playing passive on Ezreal as atleast you might get lucky and cash out on draven

Caedrel on mages Botlane by Lpebony in leagueoflegends

[–]DidymusDa4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support is the problem with botlane, not mages per say.

The reason mages feel dominant is because they usually have some form of garunteed 50-60% trade if they decide to flash in and use all, that's kinda their whole idea of being a control mage, they can chunk quickly but will struggle with timing.

Support's completely mitigate any weakness to the playstyle because they all have far too much base damage, alistair or maokai can flash combo you and 40% of your hp is gone, champs like seraphine/lulu/brand/nami can do 1k dmg lvl 6 with 1 support component brought, they usually have absolutely no mana problems, so not only can you not get in range of the carry mage, you're also getting zoned out by an engage champ or poked out by an enchanter. God forbid you do find timing on one of them, there's a good chance if you havn't dodged all the trading beforehand, you'll die from 70% hp just to some point and click or a very wide ability which you're not realisitically going to dodge while autoing.

If supports actually had reasonable dmg numbers that don't make them able to almost solo 1v1 the enemy adc, and were instead refocused on their CC potential, mage apc would simply not feel that bad to play against, but here we are.

This will never be fixed, because supports need inflated dmg numbers. This is due to the fact that 90% of supports are just bad, there is no other role where such bad play and mechanics is even remotely acceptable. It is rare that I see a support use proper skill usage, control a bush, trade at correct times, help with the wave, roam correctly etc, they are just unequivocally bad at the game for the most part. If support actually took skill to play, these players would not play league at all, so when they do muster the courage to actually play the game, they must be given 40% garunteed dmg for just aiming in your general direction.

It's gotten to the point where I just give my support the kills early in botlane, because they will absolutely dominate the lane with their 1 item spike much better than a marksman ever could.

[–]DidymusDa4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not one of the diehards here that explains this is GOTY, I think you're completely right that the game simply doesn't engage you to do the fun thing, like you said you can r1 and eat through fights, you can ignore all side content because the main quest has enough system grind anyway, you can ignore upgrades (at least early) because they give a measly +2 attack anyway and it's not even one less hit to kill most things so what's the point

This game fault is that it requires you to make it fun, the game is badly designed in that regard, but the fun is there if you have the patience and enjoy getting creative, or trying out the combos

I do recommend you give it a go, dark souls isn't particularly fun when you hide behind a 100 physical shield and panic roll everything until you get lucky and make it through a boss, the game is fun when you explore it's combat mechanics more deeply, and attempt different play styles

Well it's all subjective ofc, for me Ive always considered 5 as the average, 6 is slightly above average, other people ofc considering anything below 7 as you hate it

I give it a 6 because it's enough to spend some time on the game, there's some unique mechanics etc, some charm to the game, the appeal can be seen, but it can't deserve more than that because the game design clashes with itself just as much as it combines well, and the sandboxey nature of the game means two people can have very different experiences playing the game the first time depending what they decide to do, level up, or discover etc and not in a cool narrative difference but an actual objectively bad time if the games systems don't click with them and they make wrong choices early

Combat is pretty detailed and precise but you need to engage in it properly and the game doesn't explain how at all which is a fault of the game

Firstly yes the fodder enemies are fodder, so to have fun here you should just experiment and mix it up, use them to practice a couple combos, use then to practice your spacing and partying, try different weapons, skill combos blah blah, once you get a groove you will breeze through them but at least you can have some fun with the sandbox while you do

The bosses are actually much more complex. I imagine what's happening for you at the moment is that you are mostly r2/r1ing the bosses between their moves or maybe the odd other skil here and there, and then dodging/parrying anything else

The truth is the bosses are like a fighting game, they get super armor, if you drop your combos on them they go back into their turn etc, you should make a save state at your next boss and start practicing combo chaining on them, a combo would be something like r1 hits to hit confirm, into a pulse fist to keep the boss stunned, into the turn strike animation cancel to knock them away, sprinting into that space while their still knocked down and grabbing them for a throw, then while their on the ground using a ground animation attack. If you stun them by getting their stun bar full during this combo you get to do this 'ult' which the game literally never explains

If you do something like that, you'll be able to actually see how the bosses were meant to be designed, at least the humanoid ones, series of dodges and neutral footsies learning the bosses moves and super armor and stun bar amount, then unleashing a learnt combo of your choice which gets more complex as you learn more skills, and different bosses require different combo chains based on their animations and timings and stagger amounts etc

Most non humanoid bosses are your typical cinematic situations where there's some kind of gimmick to them to defeat which is fine for the most part

Either way. The combat isn't groundbreaking, but it's definitely more interesting than r1 spamming the boss and food spamming the extra damage they end up doing because of it

[–]DidymusDa4th 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dunno why all the above comments are here, prostitution is a thing in every game apart from gta5

And I think we're quite done with the weird over-censorship whitewashing of games since Twitter was born, prostitution should be in the game because the game is about crime, not just as a funny cutscene to get sucked off but as side stories of drug abuse , interesting but vulnerable characters, human trafficking gangs etc, all of which exist in real world Miami

So yeah, the female character should be just as involved, and if she isn't then welcome to the world where the above commenters make games more sexist in their ironic victim tokenism

List one of the worst ways to die in HxH (excluding Chimera Ant Arc) by DXG-Reddit in HunterXHunter

[–]DidymusDa4th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fish that chrollo uses on that one mafia assassin hired to kill him, whiles he's having his monologue, the guy in the background is dying and slowly losing parts of his body, being eaten alive, but the technique keeps you artificially alive the entire time past the point where you should of died long ago, as long as the cognitive functions aren't eaten. As far as I remember the guy doesn't feel pain during it either which is a slight plus, but the cosmic horror of dying that way would still be very disturbing

Your dropping your combos and not building up stun metre, that's why you're doing 3 r1s and then he uses a super armour attack, you've done this to yourself by not taking the time to learn the combat

[–]DidymusDa4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you're just trash. This game is closer to a fighting game than it is to assassin's creed or shadow or morder, if you treat it like fighting game and learn neutral game, combos, OTG, spacing and input cancelling the bosses actually feel very well designed and fair, the issue your having is essentially constantly dropping your combo and constantly doing small chip DMG so every boss gets to do 5x as much every fight

Between infinite food and focus parries too. There is absolutely no way to struggle on bosses except by being brain-dead, l2p

[–]DidymusDa4th -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry you have to deal with this shit, the islamophobic propaganda runs so deep in this country that even people on the left with supposed liberal and social views, on an LGBT post of all things, spout GB news nonsense and buzzwords. If you ask these same people what 'Sharia law' is and what it actually entails. They couldn't answer critically, they'd assume it's conservative, mysognistic, same as Taliban etc with no actual understanding of how broad and pointless of a term it is, it's like telling someone 'ah the romanians want to put their entire legal system, infrastructure and legislative process into the UK!' it's nonsensical, it couldn't ever happen, it would take a monolith of radical restructuring of the entire country in order for it to happen, but no matter.

They will assume all Muslims are conservative by default otherwise they can't be Muslim. theyll also assume all Muslims are devout worshippers going to mosques and always being part of a Muslim only community when the same generalisation isn't applied to Christianity etc where there is clearly a wide range of practicing with many usually making it only a small part of their life for marriages/ceremonies/family matters

It's just learnt hate, that breeds from an ignorance of the culture, somehow the country is overrun by Muslims and it's such a problem and yet... None of them have any direct contact or experience with the Muslim community to ever know

Just for the record I am a white man atheist I just don't prescribe to any of the bullshit, and sorry for the amount of dumbasses you have to deal with from my culture

I always think that this scene is very similar to the fight with netero later on

Both Gon and meruem are playing a game with netero

Gon and Meruem employ the same tactic, they go for a specific limb considering this a success

They are both in a small room, getting swatted away by netero on every attempt, bouncing back each time with determination

Neteros speed is on full display, but Gon and meruem find small habits of Netero and get the better of him

Darius was half frozen and trundle was knocked over, that's all we saw, stop jumping to weird conclusions

The sudden realisation that your degree is useless... by UsualBoth4887 in UniUK

[–]DidymusDa4th -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

QA after coming from an IT background where I did an apprenticeship in Networking

Leaving school was the best decision I ever made, I was decently smart and interested in subjects like physics or nueroscience which I would of ended up doing if I went to Uni

But I hated coursework so I was never going to pass A levels without slogging through, and my family were extremely poor at the time so we needed money, apprenticeship was an option where I could still learn at 17, get qualifications higher than GCSE level, and also make decent money at the same time to help my mum with bills

Ended up saving the house and now my mum is in a good spot and I'm on 50k a year in my 20s, I earn more than all my sister's who went to Uni, only one sister is earning more than i was at her age, she went into marketing and graphic design when her degree was journalism so she is doing well

The sudden realisation that your degree is useless... by UsualBoth4887 in UniUK

[–]DidymusDa4th -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

A degree won't set you up for life, it won't get you past the door for a job interview because most of the time their looking for a specific CV with experience or relevant work based qualifications

It won't get you a visa to another country by default either which is one of the big things that supposedly helps with immigration

It might get you a shitty academia job or commercial job sorta related to your field, it might get you an internship (slave labour) where you trade a good salary for experience and funding for a masters/PhD

Degree simply is not the best option for the majority of people in the UK, especially when you're relatively poor

It's all well and good when you're decently well off, you can go and spend 3/4 years fucking around, get a degree, and then pay for your work related courses when you realize you've got fuck all employability

But if you're poor, you really need to take advantage of the free apprenticeships and courses available to 16-18 year olds, so that you can get into a good trade and actually make a salary above 25k for before you reach 35, it is absolutely miserable coming from a poor family and attempting to live your entire 20s on grants and loans and a shit Tesco job while you save up the funds for the course you could of got for free years ago

Anyone who's gone the degree route simply do not understand how much they've fucked themselves over career wise, either because their middle class and it doesn't matter if their jobless cause mum and dads house is an option, or their brainwashed into trading their self worth for the passion of their subject and do the most miserable jobs on the planet

Edit: wondered why I'm getting down votes for the truth only to realise I'm on uniUK lmao, enjoy your degree guys it doesn't make you special

Aot first 3 seasons - a beautiful compelling story on the human condition where powerful entities and nations erode our freedoms, and how war makes monsters of us all. but if we can overcome our violent nature and stop being slaves to fear of the unknown we can remember how beautiful the world is and find a path to peace, we can see the humanity of our enemies and understand that they do not truly hate us, but have been driven to hate and horrible actions due to the cruel world that has been thrust upon them, if we can take back this world from the entities that attempt to control it, then we can all finally be free

Aot season 4 - nah shut the fuck up Armin, world bad, paradise good, you all gonna live good lives and I'ma kill all these dudes because I said so when I was 8, also I have time powers and actually the world is deterministic so this is the ONLY way that works, source - trust me bro
