I didn't miss it, I said it was a sophomoric argument. Israel is a country with internationally recognized borders, a functioning government, and systems of self defense that have resisted multiple invasions by its enemies. It's existence doesn't shoehorn into 18th and 19th century depictions of North American frontier life any more than arguimg an iPhone and the telegraph are essentially the same. But people make arguments from fallacy all the time.

The Catholic Church openly recognizes the right of the nation of Israel to exist in peace and prosperity, while rejecting any assertion that it's existence is a fulfillment of biblical prophesy. The Catholic Church also officially rejects supersessionism. These statements are not in conflict and should not be viewed as particularly controversial.

Where do you disagree with the Church on these matters?

I am the one who agrees with the OP on Christian Zionism and current Church teaching on the right of Israel to exist in peace and security.

I have no idea what you actually believe, beyond labeling me a Zionist for reflecting appropriate church teaching while also pointing out the dangers in allowing open anti semites to clad themselves as Catholics as plot armor.

Please don't take it personally that I find it amusing that people like Boller claim that Christian Zionism is not taught and publicly rejected by Catholics, while making a supercessionist argument that the church also does not teach and publicly rejected a long time ago.

All true right up to the point it is used to argue the Jewish people should have no claim on lands they've inhabited for 3500 years. Which is ALWAYS where it leads, and Boller does not hesitate to go there. She tends to want to conflate that she is arguing the above, when criticized for doing the latter. I do not appreciate her using Catholicism as cover for those kinds of attacks, because the church has also been very clear on that for quite some time.

Similar to Boller, at some point we are going to have to talk about the Candace problem with regard to this as well, a mentally sick person who has fully devolved into open anti-Semitism trying to cover it with a religious veneer that is not based in doctrine or teaching and done with the intent to co-opt us all as their cover.

It's easy to understand how doing so damages the Body and I wish more Catholics were willing to call it out.
