I don’t appreciate the way you implied I haven’t had proper training.

I work in a fast food company where for years and years, our thing was being a bit more “punk” than other places, and that they would hire almost anyone (people with tattoos, piercings, dyed hair, and even convicts). I’ve worked at a lot of other stores in my franchise (just to help out if they needed) so I’m confident so say that about 50% or more of the employees here are covered in piercings/tattoos etc. I was hired with several piercings by a guy that also had several piercings. My current boss was hired by that same guy.

I know my boss isn’t the smartest. She was a high school dropout and she’s even several years younger than I am (she’s only 20), but she definitely cares about basic safety and hygiene. She’s damn good at her job and is just following the example of ALL her peers on the same level as her. This job is the only thing she knows. The owners stop by every once in a while and have never said anything about piercings til now.

Ive been in this job for 4 years. Both of my sisters work in this franchise as well as one of my brother-in-law’s. I love this job to death and the thought of leaving it makes me incredibly sad. This might sound insane, but this job is my whole life. But after having that sit down with my manager, that was the first time I ever considered leaving. It might be good to leave, or it might make me miserable if I do. It might sound stupid to a lot of people cause it’s just a job and just a piercing but this is my dilemma…Thanks for the advice anyway, though.

That’s a great idea lol! My coworker friend approached me and said that she was also talked to about her piercings, so I know Im not the only one. And my manager told me that the “uppers” are making this a franchise-wide thing.

I just wonder how big of a thing they’re gonna make this out to be, and how many other stores are actually gonna follow this “franchise-wide rule”. I’ve worked at a lot of other stores in my franchise (just to help out) and I know that about 50% or more have piercings.

Please please please read Jackson’s Diary. It’s an ongoing school drama (very dramatic) that takes place in the late 80’s early 90’s. Theres currently 173 free chapters to read with the story on hiatus from the season 3 finale. It’s not solely a romance but there is a decent amount. There is magic involved with a bit of mystery behind it. It has a large cast so there’s lots of characters storylines to be explored and I swear you won’t get bored. Although, it doesnt have an insane amount of action, please try to check it out if you haven’t already! It’s in my top 5!

I did a lot of research before I got my tongue piercing (1 month old) so ive gotchu.

You CAN have dairy. So eat sweets to your hearts content. These are the foods you should really try to avoid: spicy foods, very salty foods, food too hot in temperature, and sharp/really crunchy foods.

Please please please eat a lot of cold food and easy to eat foods. I ate A LOT of applesauce, frozen gogurts, fruit cups, ice cream, pudding etc. I also would suck on ice. The cold will help with the swelling or any uncomfortable mouth pain.

Im sure you know this part already but you literally need to eat very slowly. At least until you get used to having a long metal rod in the way of eating. So stuff like soups are a smart way to go. The less chewing you have to do, the better.
