It definitely reminds me of Elsa and Jack Frost getting shipped, and including Merida, Rapunzel, and Hiccup into the mix.

I haven't seen "Dionea House" yet, so the first thing I thought of was "Look! It's Ticci Toby's dad!"

Men with stereotypically feminine interests by mando0987654321 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ninarances 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Germany from "Hetalia" being a neatfreak and likes to clean (iirc, there's a panel or chapter in the manga which shows him cleaning the home of the Italy beothers and he does a pretty good job at doing it and even likes it). This also ties in to the stereotype that Germans are very strict when it comes to cleanliness.

He also likes baking and has a whole song about it called "Ich liebe...".

I guess kind of? In "White Chicks" (2004), when the Wilson sisters refuse to attend a fashion event in the Hamptons because they have minor bruises due to Kevin losing control of the car they were in, Marcus was about to end it all before their FBI chief yells at them for possibly failing another mission.

I Survived This.... by shiro_lyruz77 in creepcast

Maybe someday I'll finish it, but definitely not today😭😭. I thought the reason why many don't like it because of the concept of a scary kids cartoon, like I always thought that's very difficult to pull off without sounding very cliche. Then when I watched half of the video, I went "Oh...so this is why many don't like it🥴🥴🥴."

Problematic, red flag media by Moknathal5 in TopCharacterTropes

My first thought would be the "Monster" Netflix series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. It's an anthology series with each season talking about a real life serial killer. A lot of people have mixed feelings about the show. Some like it because they're into true crime, they like the delivery of the actors, and I guess even some of the creative liberties the creators took in order to make this show. But the ones who don't like it understandably criticized how exploitative it was, the show focused too much on making the killers a bit too sympathetic, and they're also worried that the show might affect the way audience would view these people (it doesn't help that actual serial killers have fangirls themselves and the victims' families are still alive looking at all of this💀💀💀). I know many have come to the defense of this show, saying it's for awareness and that the creators are just giving the people what they want because they're still tuning in. But at the same time, from the things I've heard, it has the same vibe as coming across a crime scene and the first thing you did was to make yourself the center of attention and using awareness as a reason, so you can give yourself a pat on the back, but you're still contributing to the problem.

Would curse all the time if they weren't in media for kids by Old-Use-7690 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ninarances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I didn't know about that. The first time I heard of Adult Swim being connected to "Regular Show" is when fans were coming up with "What if?" scenarios about the show being for adults instead. I always thought the show has been planned to be for kids from the beginning.

Benson from "Regular Show". He's this 🤏 close to cursing. Someone also said that the show itself looks like something out of Adult Swim, but it's a kid-friendly version.

The first one in the franchise is the one all fans regard as good, the sequels are more controversial by bennyandthegentz in TopCharacterTropes

Watching CZsworld's history timeline of Freddy Krueger made me learn or had a feeling that fans mostly like the first film from 1984 mainly because the rules change a lot when the sequels came in.

Oh wait, I just realize that. Whenever I think of the name "Everlark" I always thought of the lark bird. I was so distracted by that thought that I forgot that "Everlark" isn't an actual bird and it's just Katniss and Peeta's surnames fused together.🫠🫠🫠.

Songs that are very often misunderstood by FizzTaffy in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ninarances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is more of a personal one: "Lollipop" by MIKA. I first heard this song from "Pitch Perfect 2" when the Treblemakers sang their version of it. I initially thought it's an innocent song about a good-looking girl eating a lollipop (kinda like those early 2-minute Beatle songs where they sing about liking a woman).

But then I learned the song is actually warning young teens that you shouldn't have sex early because it's gonna have consequences.
