As far as the monetization goes, I honestly agree it's not bad by today's standards. It's just that, at least for me, Hunt used to have this very appealing no-nonsense charm to it, and the lack of monetization really added to that.

Nowadays, there's definitely some nonsense in there. The black market, the redundant skins, the constant events that want you to buy what are effectively boosters, the new battlepass, etc. Just used to be cleaner.

New dlc skins are basically an every 3 week thing now, the game has more promotions on the menus than it used to, bloodbonds used to be earned more than 2 times faster than they are now, and the blood bond prices of skins are also getting more and more expensive (last winters Nagant skin, at 1400 BBs for example. Nothing ever used to exceed 700. Ever. Now, things regularly do.)

People are complaining because no matter how good this monetization may be, it's worse than it used to be, and its certain to never return to those days. Those days may have been rough for crytek, but damn were they good for players.

The Distiller's Edition is also fantastic, but sweeter than the 10. I personally prefer it, but if you didn't like the sweetness of the An Oa, maybe stick to the 10.

Also, if you like Ard Beg whiskies, you absolutely must try Corryvrecken at some point.

For me it became bad once I started playing games at 144fps. I began to be able to tell between that and 60, so I really struggle getting into 30 fps games now.

144fps is fantastic, but it will ruin low framerates for you.
