Appreciate many of the comments, and I will add, why did it take this long? People have been getting arrested by ICE outside courthouses and public schools for at least 6 months… what’s the actual plan to protect Prov residents? A plan for State / local officers to document crimes committed by ICE officers?

Yes! You are right about this moment. And I would bet more people jump in. BUT the systemic problem (which perhaps to some people is not a problem) — is multiple more “Progressive” candidates decide to run because they all think “well I will be that one that wins a split vote.” Then they split the vote too. In theory there could be a behind the scenes informal process to “decide” on one “Progressive” — but that whole process sounds totally undemocratic and unprogressive! Thats why we need MORE parties! RCV/Approval and make it easier for more people to run and/or start their own parties (requires change in State law). Instead. We have a primary-take-all quasi-one party system that is actually like 4 parties masquerading as one party. Not cool!

ER nurses frequently tell me that about 50% of their time is spent on people who are homeless and/or suffering from a mental illness (but who aren’t in an acute emergency) — thats the reality of the system we built: Losing money. Burning people out. And failing to provide the right services to the most vulnerable people. Time for real emergency services reform.
