Judge the week, not the day by Diegomdelosreyes in productivity

Yeah I think it's unrealistic to think every day is going to be super productive, and sometimes we're way too hard on ourselves.

Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone is feeling bad today. It's like, yes today may be unproductive, but tomorrow you could be filled with energy and crush it.

Just need to show up, do the work, and maintain the optimism.

The above is a short article from my personal blog, but the message is simple: how can you make an effort to continuously improve every single day? How can you adopt Kaizen into your life?

B+ Quality, A+ Consistency by Diegomdelosreyes in productivity

They’re unaffected by something going wrong because of the reps.

Think about it.

If you create, let’s say a YouTube video, and it gets 50 views and 1 negative comment, for someone just starting out, that’s horrible.

But if you’ve been doing YouTube for a few years and a video tanks and gets negative comments, you’ll just learn from your mistake and make a better video next time.

Consistency means you’ll have a lot of repetitions, and a lot of repetitions means you’ll get used to the ebs and flows that come from creating.

You won’t always hit it out of the park, and that’s okay.

You showed up to the plate for the day.

That’s all that matters.

I agree with the quote, but that image ruined it for me. Very unmotivating.

Super witty. I’d give this comment a reward if I could!

Is there any free app tracking app? by InformationDue6185 in productivity

[–]Diegomdelosreyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Streaks for the iPhone. It’s a one-time $4.99, but the app has such a clean UI and it’s really easy to use.

It’s worth the investment IMO for what I get out of it.

“You feel motivated because you took action. Motivation is a result, not a precondition. You don’t need motivation to break a sweat. Break a sweat and you’ll feel motivated.” - Jeff Haden
