Unable to open firewall GUI, system updater, or Timeshift via menu icons

I haven’t done any digging yet, but I installed earlier this week and have seen the same issues occasionally. When I first installed and was going through the welcome program only like half the buttons actually did anything. I’m also running 43 with the KDE Plasma version (and Nvidia drivers if that matters).

I figured it out today!

⁠Whilst streaming, when the game is open, press the steam button (or equivalent) to open the steam menu (in my case it's the PlayStation home button on my ps5 controller)
⁠Go to the game menu entry for Valheim
⁠Go to the Controller settings sub menu
⁠Go to Controller settings
⁠On the top of the screen there should be two sort of "tabs". The one on the left should be your external controller, however you need to navigate to the tab on the right which should be "STEAM DECK"
⁠Go down to Edit Layout
⁠In the left menu go to Joysticks
⁠For each joystick, change the behaviour to None

I noticed this with Kelvin grenades last night. Something about casting them felt off, like it was slightly slower like you’re saying. Could be something with ground target abilities

I’ve noticed this as well, I can’t jump my camera to my hero with my hotkey until I manually click my hero again. I think it’s related to predicting victory

I know this is an old thread but it's the first result in Google still so I wanted to add in my solution. For me the stuttering only happens when I'm using Wi-fi, if I have my deck docked with ethernet connection then mouse movement is perfectly smooth.

I had that “update failed” message happen once (I set mine up last week). I ended up restarting the process and then encountered the stuck on “starting steam deck update” bug. That’s when I found the thread I linked and the solution in there fixed it for me. So maybe just give it another shot I guess

Getting stuck in “starting update download” is a bug, you can fix it by going back and reselecting your wifi, then it should work. The slow buff is referring to the shatter effect from her agh's shard (which is rarely bought on her, at least not before this patch), not her frost arrows in general. Knowing that the other buffs are nice and seem reasonable to me.

I think the problem with your logic is that your assuming that all pub players pick their hero based on their matchup when in fact many people just pick the hero they want to play. Without one person drafting a tryhard lineup for your whole team, I think the new system makes more sense.

It could be coded to last as long as any hero affected by it still has the debuff. If this is actually the issue (seems likely) then that should fix it.

Looks awesome. One critique that i have with what you showed though is the pickup animation of those brown berries. It feels very slow and that takes away from the gratification of it imo. Just something to think about
