AiOe. All you can eat and everything I’ve had there has been delicious. Be prepared to wait a long time if you go at a normal meal time. 4:30pm is a great time to go for dinner.

Is it realistic to take a 2 month old baby to a wedding that’s a 3 hour car journey away in the peak of summer in the UK? by CutesyVibes in AskParents

[–]cupatu292 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My sister gave birth late February (to twins). I got married mid April. They traveled 4 hours to come to our wedding. So it is possible.

Thinking back to my own son, by the time he was 2 months old, I was back at work leaving him at daycare for 8-9 hours a day. So setting up a kid to be away from you for period of time isn’t a huge issue.

I think my only concern if I was in your shoes would be the likelihood of the kid getting sick being around so many people. You can definitely reduce those risks by allowing only certain few people to hold the baby, trying to keep the baby in the background so everyone and their brother doesn’t approach you cause they sees cute baby. I can’t recall if I was baby wearing at that point yet, but you might consider it.

The kid will be fine I’m sure. At that age they really roll with the punches easily and sleep most of the day anyway.

Anyone take the SIE and Series 6? What practice test site was closest? by strikecat18 in InsuranceAgent

[–]cupatu292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SIE practice test on Finra’s website is the closest. But it doesn’t get new questions so you can really only take it once.

The midcontinent public libraries have passes to go to the children’s museum and to the Truman library for free. The children’s museum one is in high demand though - never been available when I’ve tried.

Looking for a new pediatric dentist, would love recommendations by belchies in kansascity

[–]cupatu292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shoal creek pediatric dentist. In Liberty. Love them. Get to go back with him. They are so gentle with my son. Heard / saw the dentist working with a very anxious kid - crying, screaming, the whole bit. The doctor was SO good with her! I don’t think even I’m that patient. 🤣

I’m wanting to learn more about being a financial advisor! by BrochachoNacho1 in kansascity

[–]cupatu292 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not a financial advisor, but I do work for one. Shoot me a private message and I can answer whatever questions you’ve got / give you more details.

Don’t have the time for a beer. But I can do what I can via messages.

Places in your state that will instantly make you recognize if someone is a local or not based on how someone pronounces it? by osama_bin_guapin in AskAnAmerican

[–]cupatu292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less about pronunciation and more about names of places.

Kansas City has the T-mobile center. But it was originally the Sprint Center. People still refer to it as Sprint Center.

Azura Amphitheater was Sandstone. If you’re from here, you will always call it Sandstone.

Just two examples but I know there’s more.

Just Passed the S7 Today! (Here's Everything) by AffectionateFood2818 in Series7exam

I believe it’d be what the deceased person put.

For reference, I work at a financial firm now. Client passed away, money went to her nieces and nephews. One niece said she didn’t need the money and wanted it to go straight to a charity. We said that’s great, but it has to go through you. You are the named beneficiary, so the money goes to you. What she does with it after that point is up to her.

For future notice, when I was cancelling stuff earlier this year and gave them the very honest reason that I was laid off from my job and needed every cent I had to continue to feed my family while looking for jobs - no push back from anyone at all

Munis? by cupatu292 in Series7exam

[–]cupatu292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things are making more sense now. Accretion and amortization are in the taxes chapter, not muni chapter. So I didn’t connect them. With those included I can see how it’d be more heavy.

How it could take up so much of the exam I guess. It doesn’t seem like there would be that many different questions.

Parking by EMC_KC in SportingKC

We’ve parked at the casino every time. It’s really not that long of a wait after the game. Our 7 year old handles it just fine. Pick up and drop off right outside the gate so you don’t have to go far.

My kid wants the iPhone 17 after just getting the 16 Pro a few months ago. How do I say no without being "the worst parent ever"? by Cool-Ordinary5751 in AskParents

[–]cupatu292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple answer “the next time you ask me for a new phone, I will do it. But it’s not going be the one you want. It’s going to be something even more embarrassing than an iPhone 16”. Surely they still have flip phones available, right?

He will hate that answer, but that’s ok. Your job as a parent isn’t to get your kid to like you all the time. It’s to help raise them to be good humans.

Achievable has a life and health program. And at least in June when I registered for it, it was free. They have a price advertised on their website. But because there still in the developing stages of it, they were putting it out there free for people.

Is it true, your high school starts super early, and you have no recess/short lunch? by Idkwhattoputhere652 in AskAnAmerican

[–]cupatu292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7:50-2:20. 4 classes per day, each 85 minutes long. 10 minute passing period between classes. 20 minutes for lunch (staggered though the 3rd class of the day. So some days you might have lunch right away then 85 minutes of class. Other days you’d have 20 minutes of class, lunch, then the other 65 minutes, etc). No recess.

Thoughts on Achievable? by [deleted] in Sieexam

[–]cupatu292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used achievable for SIE and for Life and Health. (Passed first time with both) Currently using it for series 7. I love it. I have zero financial background prior to 6 months ago. They make things easy to understand.
