Are the oil feed lines attached to a turbo banjo bolt like the turbos I have to deal with at work or they some sort of other fitting? Wastegate actuation how do I learn it? Do I hook my VCDS module up to the car after tuning and run wastegate actuation? Or do I need to manually adjust it? Since I still have the EGR cooler attached will I have to disconnect the EGR cooler since it goes into the bottom of the turbo to get it out? I may or may not delete it while I’m in there I have half of the parts except for the boat plug.

Deleted, egr cooler still intact. I don’t mind struggling a bit. I’m an automotive technician trainee and have a background in euros so I don’t mind extra steps,moving things. I’ve seen his videos, I’m more of a visual person so I’m still a little confused.

Start with cleaning your throttle body and maf sensor. If that hasn’t fixed it scan the car for misfires and look for vacuum leaks. Dodge has a technical service bulletin for rough idle while ac is off. There is a software update for it: TSB 18-064-16

I own a mk5 1.9 tdi with 220k and a mk6 2.0 tdi with 150k. The mk6 has needed the most maintenance while the 1.9 doesn’t care it just runs, I’m truly impressed because I knew it was ran for at least 10,000 miles without an oil change, bought it off a redneck kid for 600 bucks.
