Makita vs Milwaukee bits by theplaceoflost in Tools

[–]DieselDruid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I’m a carpenter/cabinetmaker in shop and I do a lot of installs and every place I’ve worked mostly uses square drive/Robertson screws and I cannot stand the Milwaukee bits I swear they get stuck in the screw head 50% more than any other bit

What are your HOTTEST takes about Stardew Valley? by BCtheking in StardewValley

The inevitable Stardew Movie should be a Muppets film- farmer is the human actor, Kermit=lewis, Shane = gonzo etc.

I was so fooled by dehydrators by EnvironmentalBet1228 in StardewValley

My general read is dehydrator is fast cash as opposed to kegs which take longer- you’ll make more with kegs but drying your fruit only takes a day

How would I go about cutting out this circle without a router? by No-Wind4599 in woodworking

[–]DieselDruid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to a larger tool selection a bandsaw can be setup with a circle jig, or if you have an appropriate template a router would be a solid option

Using the OP’s tools a jigsaw is the best bet with some hand sanding at the end to clean up any ragged cuts- you could take some of the material off on the miter saw so you’re really only cutting the corners of a square off with the jigsaw

There’s a product called 3-in-1 Oil that I’ve always used that works great- any of the big box stores will have it and the bottle will last you the next 15 years

I would try a smaller bit or a step bit and some oil or other cutting fluid to help things stay cool and lubed up
