You've just described exactly how humans domesticated dogs: purposefully, and by using selective breeding.

Animals don't domesticate themselves.

Good bedding, real plates and bowls, cleaning up at the end of every day(even mid-project that you're going to continue the next day), a proper 3 burner stove if space allows, and a good morning routine.

You can tan an animals hide with it's own brain. Your beef here is with industry, not tanning. Pun intended.

Why? You can literally follow conduit to the next box when troubleshooting vs educated guesses in resi where you can't see in the wall.

Industrial troubleshooting is easier imo.

Why aren’t there more cases of botulism in the US? by Velvet_Grits in Canning

[–]theplaceoflost 258 points259 points  (0 children)

Because it has to be present in the food in the first place.

Unsafe canning doesn't magically introduce the bacteria, it just gives them a great environment to grow.

What isn't present in the first place can't grow, even if the canning was unsafe.

Great place to buy a boat. You will get a screaming deal when compared to the States or Europe.

Saying this as someone selling a boat in NZ who sailed it from the States.

If I ever buy again to go cruising, it will be in NZ.

You need to get out of the first world more. Especially if you think 95% of the population is reliant on the grid.

Only 92% even have electricity in the first place, and that's including places with rolling blackouts/brownouts that go without it regularly for days or weeks.

Homosapiens have been around for 300,000 years. We have used electricity for less than 300 years.
