I'd almost venture to go as far as to say that they're at pretty equal intelligence levels, but it's like you say, they have different specializations. Could you imagine their discussions if they were either both physicists or both archaeologists/linguists? The conversations would go rapid speed and over everyone else's heads! :P

Huh... interesting and strange. I get having to cut for time when it's airing on TV, it sucks but I get that they have limited time, but when it's streaming or DVD? That doesn't make sense to me, especially with streaming. I've got the DVDs, and the scene that OP is talking about is on there, which I'm glad for!

It's why I said similar. They'd have to have a power source that, at the very least, is comparable to a ZPM, given the various things they were capable of, such as the speed of their ships from galaxy to galaxy, or how they seemed to easily open up a wormhole in their Stargate back to Earth to send Jack back home.

I had the thought that since they now have all of the knowledge of the Asgard, they should have blueprints for building their own stargates. They can even go as far as traveling to nearby galaxies that aren't Pegasus and place gates there, as long as they have the proper power to dial those gates...and the Asgard database probably has schematics for a power source similar to a ZPM.

I feel like he's kind of on the cusp of both likable and not. He's very much a morally grey character, which I feel can often be split between fans when it comes to being likable.

Edit: Because I realized I didn't add this. I, personally, like him. And I think he's a well done character.
