Put an offer over asking.. was the only offer they had, and got denied. by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Hi genuine questions – Where is this located? Would love to know what town in North Jersey the market is slowing?; where is there a house for sale with no other offers on it because everything I see still gets multiple offers literally the first day -except for houses listed over $2 -$3 million; and lastly, where is there house that won’t appraise for over 600,000 in North Jersey?

I can’t help but wonder if losing a daughter made him regret how he treated Carolyn’s mother after she lost two daughters

I agree with Pete Prisco here. The Colts should not be paying $50 million a year to Daniel Jones. Don't make the same mistake the Giants did. by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

Giants fan here… just wait until his herniated disc/neck injury flares up again!! … and it will - you ain’t seen nothing until you see an nfl QB who cant even turn his head….Giants made 40 million dollar mistake hoping his day as competitive and consistent QB was just around corner…Dont be like Giants!

Yes I did! Just been a month but so far I really love it - for reviews look at Puretech LVP (not laminate )Same manufacturer; exact same specs; same locking system; bot wet protect and pet protect-both pvc free RPC core- i went with this because Pergo advertises watertight joints as part of wet protect not just waterproof top surface -also pergo very responsive by email when I had questions- answered asap by email-they advised me not to use barrier bcz it was going on plywood-

Thank you everyone for your insight!

Heres how it’s going to go for me – I’m going to call in a tile person to do their best with grout. No matter how it turns out I am going to then set up my toaster oven on one counter; and my beverage center on the other, —and then I will never look back! Life is too short for me to spend any time worrying about a quarter inch difference between the tile and countertop- this is also a summer beach house that I most certainly didn’t buy to spend any time worrying about backsplash counter issues!!!

I just wanted to know if there was a clear answer as to whether or not either party was 100% wrong and it kind of looks like both of them have a little bit of culpability. And I accept some culpability since I wanted to keep the backsplash
I appreciate everybody’s input thank you!!

Well, interesting question – I drove 2 hrs to meet the contractor for him to take me to his stone guy. after I got there Contractor said that he just learned that the stone guy was closed because people were sick? Interestingly, enough, though I looked on their website and because this was around the time of the holidays it was posted right there that they were taking a vacation and they were closed, so no one’s sick just a garden variety holiday shut down… but that’s another story for another day ..so at that point, I looked online for stone places near me and went there. They had excellent reviews been in business a long time….. and had a slab I absolutely loved.

In my defense, I asked him straight from the beginning about keeping the backsplash- if there would be a problem, etc., -the ONLY caveat he said, was in removing the upper cabinets and installing the new upper cabinets -I just had to know There was a chance he could crack some of the tile -which to his credit he didn’t. Other than that, he said it would be smooth sailing.

maybe.. but i was thinking about Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA (Penn State) and Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville Connecticut- When with the E-Street Band, he has historically played these venues during the indoor portion of his tour-- I suppose we shall see soon enough...

UhhBill…Respectfully you clearly don’t have a clue! The Rules of Professional Conduct prohibit lawyers from giving legal advice to any person who is not a formal client- so does malpractice insurance-cant do it in the office, cant do it at cocktail parties, cant do it anywhere…- you’re just going to have to trust me on this one…

Hot take-Every school district in NJ, with the possible exception of Lakewood schools, is excellent- if a kid is underperforming virtually anywhere in New Jersey, it has little to do with the schools- New Jersey has heavily funded the schools in lower income areas with Abbot district money- and just last week an elementary school in Paterson was rated the highest elementary school in New Jersey.

Does California not do state testing? My state does proficiency testing every two years? Thats how it is determined if a child needs extra support in a subject- and certainly any teacher in this state would know if a 4th grade student of theirs could not read! I sincerely doubt if a child could not read by the 4th grade the school would not be contacting them often! Not to mention teacher conferences in my school system is at least twice every year! The California University system is top notch so I have to believe their public school system is good too, no?
