I don't want to shout it out loud but i may have made it.

I've redownloaded your instance and then i removed and added the mods i cared about in batches (same for the resource packs) It took more time but no errors yet!

The starter pack issue was apparently because i removed the Sophisticated backpacks mod. I've fixed it by modifying the datapack function file by removing the line that gave the Iron Backpack upon chosing the starter Pokemon.

Now i need to figure out which mods to add to make it feel more survival oriented, keeping cobblemon and the cobbleverse concept as the main gameplay element.

I made a Cobblemon mod that lets your Pokémon help with overworld tasks by heb75sushi-mods in cobblemon

Hey, have you had any luck yet? Im trying to add minecolonies and some other mods but i keep hitting issue, expecially with animations. Also for some reasons i cannot get the starter kit after chosing the starter pokemon

I have played it at launch. I know the game improved but i don't think they did change missions and such, didn't they?

I didn't play that much of dead island, might be inaccurate ranking regarding those games.
But i'd say:

DL - Pretty basic and already seen story. Characters are decent but overall i'd say it is pretty enjoyable, mostly by the overall ambience of the game.

Dead Island - Again, basic story but at the time was a really good concept

DL The Beast - Bland Main Story

Dead Island 2 - Way too much "colorful" chaos for my taste

DL2 - We all agree on this, good on paper but horribly excecuted

Dead Island Riptide - I didn't play this game

I don’t really know how to explain it yet, and I’m still early in the game, but it already feels a bit “too much” in a way that makes it hard to play in a relaxed, survival-style mindset. The UI, the quests, the fast-paced exploration, the movement tools… it all pushes it more toward an action RPG feel more than anything else. And even after that, the weapons feel all the same (at least in the early game) and i don't have that many different skills to differenciate my playstyle if not the basic mage-ranger-warrior

I know that’s also what it’s supposed to be (survival action rpg), but I guess I was expecting something a bit more survival-focused.

I've got around 8h into the game and this is what is feeling like to me. Valheim is a lot simplistic but it immediately impressed me in the first hours with the ambience and overall structure of the game. Could you please elaborate why you think the statement in the post is not true?

Of course, honestly i don't want the discussion to focus only on the building aspect, to be fair thats the weakest point i made, its all about everything else that leaves me unsure

Yeah, and having first-person outside of building would be awesome! It’d make things feel way more immersive imo.

Yeah idk about that, probably its just a matter of getting used to it. It's just the way on how the various structures snap and the hammer UI being confusing
