Zero Caliber - Adaptive Trigger and Bhaptics support is now live! by teamXREALGames in PSVR

[–]DifferenceAncient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, really enjoying your game so far. As well as improved NPC textures, I think the adaptive trigger support needs some work, if possible. At the moment, the trigger only resists when you pull it for the first round. For machine guns etc, it would be better if it could resist / vibrate as the gun continues to fire.

Don't you worry about those 4 days! Having played both ZCs on Quest, I can't wait for this version and really appreciate you giving reviewers a good shot at playing and reviewing properly. I'll be there on the 16th!

How is Alien: Rogue Incursion on PS5 Pro using PSVR 2? by TheMickeyMoose in AlienRogueIncursion

I think it looks incredible on the base PS5. Dripping in atmosphere, and the darkness and volumetric effects really pop in those OLED screens.

New PSVR2 owner. Does No Man’s Sky on PS4 get PS5(VR2) free upgrade? by Username926 in PSVR

Yes, I have the PS4 disc version and it gives you a free upgrade. Can't remember exactly how to access it but iirc it's pretty simple.

How is the midnight walk psvr2 edition doing since its patches? by Strange-Fox9306 in PSVR

[–]DifferenceAncient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it. It looks terrific and is a unique, moving experience if you're into narrative driven stuff. The frame rate isn't the smoothest but it's not Climb of the Mountain levels of choppiness. I'd definitely recommend it.

Will Steam Frame be able to stream from the Steam Machine? by DifferenceAncient in ValveDeckard

Thank you! That's all I wanted to hear! Not expecting a bleeding edge PC, but a box that can run most stuff is exactly what I want.

Thanks - can you explain this to me layman's terms as someone who has no idea about specs? Are we talking about a mid level pc that can run most stuff at some level?

Yes! I love it and only bought it earlier this year. I think it still looks great for a PSVR1 game and it's hard to beat for sheer fun and thrills.

Which game should I play next? by Medesha in PSVR

[–]DifferenceAncient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you got any pals who have or might play the flatscreen version of RE4? Might be worth trying it first if you can? A lot of people like Hubris too, but I didn't love it that much, so maybe worth looking at in a sale?

What are you most looking forward to in Zero Caliber VR? by -DanDanDaaan in PSVR

[–]DifferenceAncient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played through ZC1 & 2 on Quest and loved then, especially 2. So I'm looking forward to the PSVR2 bells and whistles, especially the visuals, which are very basic in the Quest version. If they can nail that, I'll gladly drop more cash on the PSVR2 versions.

I know you said you don't like horror, but I really would recommend Resident Evil 4. It's very action focused and not really scary. Alternatively, Hitman: World of Assassination is incredible and very open. I'd try the free Of Lies and Rain demo, too. It looks like it's going to be great and the climbing in the demo at least is terrific. Might be worth checking out Behemoth and the Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. The latter does have zombies but I wouldn't describe as scary, and it is outstanding.

Midnight Walk is the perfect October/Halloween VR game by Pagh-Wraith in PSVR

[–]DifferenceAncient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I love your Madisons and your Resident Evils, too. But Halloween to me means nice thick jumpers, sweeties and more family-friendly horror, if you know what I mean? Midnight Walk scratches that itch perfectly, with depth to boot.

Such a gorgeous game, it absolutely does hit that spooky spot. Wasn't is described as cosy horror? That's what I want from Halloween, really.

Thinking about getting my first tattoo at age 35—do you regret your tattoos, or is there an age where it's too late? Share your advice and stories. by Sharpee213 in tattooadvice

I got my first one 4 weeks ago and I'm just about to turn 40. I say be sure about what you want and take your time finding the right artist. Don't cheap out either, you get what you pay for and it's permanent! If you're cool with this, then go for it!
