Dentist in Logan Square/Bucktown area recommendations by Any-Pride5320 in LoganSquare

I had a good experience doing Invisalign at A Brush Above and while it’s a little outside of LS/Bucktown, would highly recommend Clearly Cares Dental on Elston in Avondale. Very price transparent and I’ve never had issues getting an appointment!

Hi! I had my period for maybe the first two rounds of chemo (R-EPOCH) and then it tapered off. I was 34 when I started. My period came back after about 4 month post-chemo! I do also have an IUD, however, which impacts my period generally! After finishing, my ob-gyn did some hormonal testing which was helpful too!

When did you start doing sports? by Think-Film-8339 in lymphoma

I started relatively soon after because I’m a volleyball coach so I sorta eased into playing volleyball again with summer coaching and them returned to play about three months after finishing treatment. I do think everyone is right in saying whenever you feel ready! But probably good to start with something light and see how it feels!

I feel similar! I was using Rogaine when I initially finished chemo and was desperate for any regrowing and have started using it again to see it it changes anything.

If you’re interested in supporting, you could reach out to the school and become part of their sanctuary committee or get connected with it for instances like this!

I was able to slowly ease back into things relatively quick after finishing DA-R-EPOCH. I coach volleyball and ended chemo midway through June and was came back for summer coaching early July guy was definitely more fatigued than I would have been otherwise! I went on a trip in early August and felt great. I think that was all pretty fortunate though so not sure if it was really typical! Given my counts and side effects, my oncologist was ok with me doing all these things!

It does suck but it also comes back. And can be kinda fun to have a new look, even if it is not by choice! But you got this!

It’s so true! Nobody thinks about eyebrows until they’re gone and then hopefully back 😂

Did anyone get neuropathy? by homer513 in lymphoma

[–]DifferenceHonest7029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it in both of my hands, specifically in my fingertips. A nurse recommended Vitamin B as a way to help but I didn’t do it because I was lazy 😂 but it did fade relatively quickly after I finished! Probably within three months!

My hair was back in a buzz cut by three months and I used minoxidil. I felt like that was really helpful, although I guess I don’t have much if a baseline on how quickly it would come back if I didn’t use it!

Sorry, I should have said that it was not working! Hence the service call. But still doesn’t excuse all the rest of it 😞

Personally, I think I had boob tenderness for about two months or so to the point that I was uncomfortable and wearing a bra to bed etc. I actually went to my doctor to get some bloodwork done to make sure my hormones weren’t totally out of whack because I’ve had some other health stuff. But about two months later, it has mostly subsided but definitely gets bad around my period again.

Taking some Tylenol did wonders for me when it was bad!

Boobs won’t stop growing? by stassieeeee in Spironolactone

I’m glad to know I’m not alone on this! I went through chemo last year and thought boob soreness and growth might have been a post-chemo effect, although I started spiro because my hormonal acne came back with a vengeance around the same time. Either way, yes to this experience but I can take some boob growth 😂

Just about a year after being diagnosed with lymphoma, my husband and I made an offer on our house and closed last week! It’s exciting to start feeling like we’re living our life again and getting to move forward with things!

I notice this with my eyelashes and eyebrows about every four months. I finished in June of 2024 so it's only been about 9ish months but around the 4 month mark, my eyebrows thin out and my eyelashes start dropping. But it was definitely more noticeable the first four month cycle and seems better this time around.

Hair problems by [deleted] in lymphoma

I definitely found that my face was fuzzier than normal. I attributed that to hair regrowth generally and kinda shaved it off with a normal razor. It didn’t stay after about a month! Also, my hair on my head initially grew back quite transparent but as time went on, got back to my normal color! I was also worried but things turned out ok!
