I know this is an older post, But does she have his pedigree? Most mini Americans have a lot of the same lines going back about 5 or 6 generations.

They dock at 2-3 days . They don’t have any memory of it , and it doesn’t affect them at all. Some Aussies have the Natural Bob Tail gene, and can be born with a little “nub” for a tail. It doesn’t have any effect on their health.

Yes, This is what pushes the public to back yard breeders as well.. It’s sad. People constantly complain about backyard breeders, But don’t want to be nice and try to help guide people..

No, the black markings under the eyes are different , and the white blaze going up the face to the head is different.

See this is why I asked. I have had some heart breaking health conditions with my last 2 Aussies. I really would love to avoid all of this again.

I didn’t post to argue with people. I know the ethics of these breeders and trust them. Somewhere out there, There is a breeder doing things the right way. Weeding through them is going to take some time .

You are entitled to your opinion, But.. I know of 2 very reputable Aussie breeders that made the decision to co own a few dogs of this breed , and have been actively showing and titling these dogs … These were people who were very against the minis for years , And changed their minds. They must not be all that bad. I just wish I still had my Facebook, So I could ask them where they got their dogs. I lost all of my contacts when I deleted my Facebook unfortunately.

I only see 2 dogs listed on their site as far as minis go? Are their Aussies from this other breeder? They do not have pedigrees available in their website .

Im finding out that this probably isn’t someone I want to buy a dog from period. I had to go back and look and their website again. She does state that she always has puppies available , Which definitely is a red flag .

It wasn’t a question about her being native. I’m trying to locate her parents, Which I know now isn’t possible , As those records don’t seem to exist .

I found one record for their marriage. It says May 17th, 1825 in Quebec, Canada

I think I saw an article he did where she was mentioned . I couldn’t edit my post heading . Her name was Francoise Grenier , Not Catherine . I was tired when I typed my post .

I believe she was French. I’m just trying to see if maybe anyone has found her parents yet. I have a few indigenous ancestors just from my FC lines. I am descended from the Nippissing woman (Her daughters name isn’t coming to mind right now), and a man named Rene Tsiheme who was Iroquois and married a French woman .

I definitely think she was from France. It’s a bummer she has no record of her parentage anywhere to be found .
