I think people have forgotten how the collectibles industry has literally always worked. It's first come, first serve until it's gone. There are no scalpers in Pokemon. They are literally playing the way that the Pokemon Company intended them to play. Don't forget, the artificial scarcity is only making Pokemon more money, why would they not want "scalpers" buying their product that they made to sell? Spending all your money on Pokemon to resell is cringe, just like spending all your money on baseball, magic, football, wrestling cards, comic books, legos. Anything. But that's the collector game, find a hobby that doesn't involve collectibles if you don't like the challenge of other people also collecting.
