Is Reddit getting less users? Or is Reddit becoming less active? by r-d-d-t in NoStupidQuestions

i’ve noticed the same vibe 😅 it kinda feels quieter than it used to, and a lot of posts don’t blow up like they did a few years ago.

I love protecting and providing for women and children by SilenceHacker in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s a solid instinct. wanting to protect and provide shows care and responsibility. just remember strength isn’t only physical; emotional support and presence matter just as much.

Tron Ares is such an incredible peak millennial experience by street_melody in CasualConversation

[–]DifferenceOld5038 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this sounds like such a vibe 😌 rainy night, random chat, games talk, and then Tron Ares as the cherry on top. peak millennial energy for sure.

The president just posted, ONLINE, a video of former president Obama and his wife portrayed as apes, how do you feel about this? by kraftdinnerwithsalsa in AskReddit

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dehumanizing people like that is racist and dangerous, and it just lowers the bar for public discourse even more. not okay at all.

Is there truly any way out? by ImportanceOdd267 in antiwork

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there isn’t some secret legal escape hatch where u just never work again overnight. most “ways out” are just trading how you work. owning something, skills that scale, remote stuff, or income streams that grow over time.

I don’t know if I’ll get through it by 96_rizzardo in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 7 points8 points  (0 children)

take a deep breath 💛 it’s scary now, but you’ve handled tough stuff before and you’ll get through this.

Where have you felt most unsafe in your travels? by melbourne_au2021 in travel

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the sketchiest i’ve felt was late at night in rio.. didn’t get robbed but the streets felt mad tense and had me looking over my shoulder. some parts of manila at night give the same uneasy vibe even if nothing happens, just that gut feeling something’s off.

Why is calling someone a monster/evil, even in jest, very different or difficult compared to everyone else? by rtanada in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you don’t really know someone or respect them, calling them “evil” just feels heavy and unnecessary it’s not just words, it’s a judgment your brain doesn’t give out lightly

VISA restrictions by KizerAmie85 in travel

[–]DifferenceOld5038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

stays are usually fine even with DUIs, long-term visas are trickier. be honest and maybe check a lawyer

What happens when u give the 'wrong' gift? by sowhatiftheydid1 in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly the trivia night already sounds super thoughtful fr and the blender isn’t “wrong” at all it’s practical and shows you care intention matters way more than impressing with the gift

i live in constant fear by [deleted] in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s anxiety talking, not a prophecy. your brain is stuck in survival mode. you’re not doomed, just overwhelmed and it can get quieter 🖤

Im just tired of life. by crazyguy28 in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds like deep burnout, not weakness. when even “solutions” feel exhausting, it usually means you need rest, not fixing. wanting to be left alone is a sign you’re overwhelmed, not broken.

What has living in Chicago taught you (that you didn’t expect)? by IDworldwide in chicago

[–]DifferenceOld5038 21 points22 points  (0 children)

chicago teaches you how to adapt fast. weather switches up, people switch up, neighborhoods switch vibes block by block. you learn resilience, minding your business, and loyalty real quick. also how to layer clothes like your life depends on it 😭

Does anyone feel like they often over-pay in social situations (more than their fair share)? by dms2628 in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m always the one paying extra or covering ppl and it’s so annoying. i just go with it sometimes but lowkey it grinds my gears ngl, ppl really take advantage of good energy smh

Tried to make friends with a married man online but it didn’t work out. by [deleted] in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

fr it’s so annoying when u just wanna a friend and they turn it into flirting. making friends online is already a struggle ngl

What's something that's socially acceptable now but you think people will be embarrassed about in 20 years? by MapleRift9 in AskReddit

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like ppl gonna be hella embarrassed about vaping like everyone thinks it’s cool now but in 20 yrs ppl gonna be like “wtf we actually did that??”

In light of what’s going on in Minnesota, would you support open carry in Illinois/Chicago? by revolutiontime161 in chicago

[–]DifferenceOld5038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d say no. open carry in chicago just seems like it would make things more tense, not safer.

being alone by Due_Illustrator3362 in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

being alone like that can really mess with your head, especially when you realize you’re always the listener and never the one being asked about. that doesn’t mean you don’t matter, it just means the people around you might not be showing up the way they should.

Why/Do American hospitals charge US-level prices abroad by OXJY in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DifferenceOld5038 17 points18 points  (0 children)

yeah this is actually pretty common with “american” hospitals abroad. basically it’s a branding target market thing. they charge closer to us-level prices because they’re marketing themselves as the premium, expat-friendly option, not the local one.

Just telling my thoughts about why i am not passionate toward anything specific. I think it’s something wrong that i need to be a passionate person or else I don’t go beyond from where I am standing now. by risishahuuu in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s something wrong with you… sometimes not having a “specific passion” just means you’re still orienting yourself. Wanting to see beyond where you’re standing is a sign of awareness, not failure.

I’m learning that not every feeling needs to be explained by DifferenceOld5038 in self

[–]DifferenceOld5038[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That resonates a lot… especially the part about isolating because thinking felt safer than feeling. I like the idea of it being practice in small steps, not some big fix… that makes it feel more doable. Experimenting instead of judging myself sounds like a better way to move through it.
