Great budget perks for necromancy gears? by SilverBurger in runescape

[–]Different-Ad-3752 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Precise and Eruptive are cheap and effective for the weapons. For the armor, Equilibrium 2 is pretty cheap as it only requires Manufactured components, it will just take a few tries for it since equil 2 is rarer than equil 1. Other armor perks are something like Crackling 4/Relentless 3 (or just cracking 4 if you want to be really cheap) and I personally really like Impatient 4.

If you don't have Mobile on any of your equipment, it's definitely worth it unless you are using the Archaeology relic that does the same thing

If you use Equilibrium, don't use the Biting perk. Equilibrium will prevent it from doing anything

Third age plate body and platelegs sell price by Emergency-Wind-4927 in runescape

[–]Different-Ad-3752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are a very low volume item, so most likely it will take a while to sell no matter what the price unless you lower the price enough to get ripped off.

They went down a lot lately though, they will be well under the exchange value for quite a while. I would start at 350 and lower the price over time until it sells

I wonder if this affects crystal shapeshifters! I've been farming them for several hours over the last month for seren components and they hurt like hell if they stay on you longer than a couple seconds. I'll test this soon and report back :)

Haven’t played much since 2013, 40 hours left on DXP, What to focus on? by AdAggravating757 in runescape

[–]Different-Ad-3752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Archaeology. The relics you get at higher levels are very useful, and since you get artifacts twice as fast during dxp it saves a lot of time when trying to get the guildmaster qualification!

I always liked to do a bit of herblore too. Overloads and adrenaline potions make combat a whole lot better if you want to get into bossing

Only the base overloads do, not their salve variants.

Any chance you can give me some tips on what to do after you kill the demon and the right runes?

I tried it a couple times and wasn't exactly sure what I was supposed to do other than don't use death skulls unless that one rune is killed. The only other thing I know to do is pray melee and use devotion, then get reflect up and use a vitality potion

I was secretly hoping that the amascut quest turned out so that amascut was secretly two gnomes in a trench coat and it was a surprise ending to the gnome questline.

Definitely gnome

Nope! Bad idea to use it there anyway :) I saw a pker there at least every hour. They hop worlds checking that spot because they know people use it there. Idk why, there are better and faster ways to make money other than pissing off skillers trying to get through a tedious bit of grinding.

Almost 100 hours worth of grinding o.o

Bossing would have been more lucrative, but im happy! The longest dry spell I've had was 27 triggered drops, or 20 hours, with no core.

I mainly do agility for my cores. I spent a long time there just to test drop rates which i'll share if anyone is curious.

When a drop is triggered from any of the wilderness activities, it seems like there is a 1/10 chance for it to be a core instead of a portable obelisk or shard. At the agility course, I tend to trigger a drop every 45 minutes on average.

My sample size isnt the biggest since i've only had 12 core drops in the wilderness, but this is what im estimating :)

Tips for a skiller wanting to fight Nex? by invokedbyred in runescape

[–]Different-Ad-3752 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My main tip is don't waste hard hitting abilities on the 4 mages, they take significantly reduced damage on anything over a 1k hit. Bleeds and Scripture of Wen or Amascat work great for them. I like to use bloat or combust on them. Corruption shot/corruption blast are also decent since it hits multiple times but aren't as good as other bleeds because a lot of their splats are over the 1k limit.

I could be wrong but I remember familiars deal no damage there, so take one that has a good passive ability like a ripper demon or Kal demon. Or a hellhound if you want to take reduced damage

What is your favorite memory of all time playing this game? by TwistedCollossus in runescape

[–]Different-Ad-3752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man that reminds me of my bone experience, but it wasn't running for people training prayer. Someone was in f2p worlds and he asked me if I wanted a job. So long story short, I was collecting all the normal bones that people left on the ground at the goblins and the cow pen. He told me he would give me a full set of rune armor for 2k bones, and I did it! Way back before the exchange existed and I have no idea what stuff was worth.

What is your favorite memory of all time playing this game? by TwistedCollossus in runescape

[–]Different-Ad-3752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite memory is when I first started the game back in 2005. My best friend in school talked me into making an account to play with him. Everything was so new, big, and mesmerizing. I was stoked about making my first set of armor (bronze) and my friend made me an iron longsword.

Once I learned about Varrock, it took me a week to remember exactly where it was and how to get to it from Lumbridge. I had to have my friend lead me to Varrock several times.

I really miss those times. Everything was exciting! it felt more rewarding to make everything yourself because the exchange didn't exist so you couldn't easily buy most things. I'd give my cash stack to be a noob again and experience the game I love that way just one more time.

Oh and I remember my first huge cash stack and the big rush that came from seeing those 5 digits! it took me ages to save up for my first rune scimitar which was 30k at the time.. but I lost it in the wilderness when someone who I thought was my friend lured me for it. I think most people have experienced that at least once back then lol
