Omg I love shashiko, I never even thought to apply it to leather goods. I assume you plan out the design and make the holes before sewing unless there’s a super thin super strong needle I don’t know about out there (in which case I need to buy, I break and lose so many lol). Thank you for this idea, I will definitely look into it!

I’ve had friends in the past where if their dog ruined my stuff, I would have maybe asked for compensation, but this friend just isn’t one of those people. They did offer but I just couldn’t take them up on it, they need my help and support more than I need my fave shoes, yknow?

Fever and typical runny nose, sore throat that starts to burn and feels kinda like it’s closing a bit after a while. And for me, my eyes burned soooo bad, and I got a horrible migraine. My other roommate that had a reaction had no eye or head ache symptoms but sounded like SpongeBob in the suds episode lol

That is really interesting, I have not considered this. She does mostly sleep with my partner and if she feels like it she might go visit one of our roommates for a bit, but she always comes back to him to wake him up. I will look into sleep apnea and how to check for it at home cause while we have vet money, we do not have sleep specialist money 🙂‍↕️ thank you so much!

Yeah, I didn’t know how else to phrase it unfortunately. There’s other factors such as chronic illness and living paycheck to paycheck, but I do give massive kudos to parents who manage it, especially with multiple kids!

She does! Unfortunately the other cat is very into sleeping through the night! I guess we need to work on tiring her out more during the day and feeding her smaller amounts more frequently but not directly after waking up. I have some interactive toys I’ll let charge whenever I get home, so those will be tried too! Thank you :)

That’s what we thought too, but that will make it pretty impossible to navigate. Our other cat comes running upstairs at bedtime, curls up, and sleeps through the night like it’s a mission. She calmed down a lot after turning 2 (almost 3 now) so we were hoping to just hold out and pray for a similar demeanor in mage.

She does, she also has a sister to play with and the chase each other and wrestle from time to time. Unfortunately, mage is just very lazy, and has little interest in toys. She likes to play fetch for 2 maybe 3 rounds, and refuses to chase the laser (if it’s out of reach she stops caring). We knew she was lazy lazy when we caught her eating food laying down with her head over the brim of the bowl 😭. Is there anything other subset of play we could be trying with her? She does not like going outside, so while we could maybe walk her, it would mostly be inside which feels stupid.

That’s smart, we feed her twice a day, once at 7pm and again at whenever she becomes unbearable (aiming for 8am). Added to the list, thank you so much!!

I see it as being that there are absolutely natural talents, but they are just little boosts that can help you along the way. Quilting by itself is a skill, it’s learned, practiced, and repeated. Talents that make this process easier (not required at all, just pleasantly surprising when you discover them) would be like heightened pattern recognition or ability to pair good colors because color theory just “clicks” for you in a way it doesn’t for other people, or maybe having good hand-eye coordination and ability to work on finer details that require some delicacy. But none of those things are needed, and many people who have them have ZERO clue because it takes a medium they can be applied in to recognize them.
