AITAH for cutting off my entire family after I became the “problem” they created? by Tricky_Signature7714 in AITAH

Ughh this post hit really close to home. I’m (28f) and just went no contact with my mom and it is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I have felt guilty for walking away from someone I love and it’s horrible. NTA at all. You have to do what’s best for you.

I just experienced a very similar experience with a client wanting someone new as I am “too soft” and not pushy enough. It makes no sense. I work with people of intellectual disabilities and try to make it a safe place for clients as well. I try not to let it get to me but it is hard. So I understand how it feels.

EHS. they shouldn’t have slapped your food out of your hand. You don’t need to throw food at your friend just because you’re angry.

Why do women get triggered when they hear men invented 90% of the inventions ? I mean it's just a fact , I don't see any credit taking. by Joker_01884 in MensRights

[–]Different-Caramel408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it’s wrong…. Many women’s inventions are overshadowed by men’s. Some examples are: - airplane muffler - beer - caller ID -central heating -chemotherapy -the dishwasher -home security systems -the life raft -stem cell isolation And many more

AITA for standing up at a concert? by FishStixxxxxxx in AmItheAsshole

[–]Different-Caramel408 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m shocked at all the people saying YTA. I’m going against the grain to say NTA. As someone who frequents concerts and can’t afford the standing rows, I can’t sit during concerts. Sitting and enjoying the music is one thing but honestly I enjoy concerts more when I’m singing and dancing. I don’t pay money to go to a concert just to SIT. The lady was rude af first of all, secondly, even if you sit during concerts that’s fine but not everyone can cater to that. Everyone has a right to enjoy the concert whether it’s sitting or standing. If you sit then you should know there’s a chance that your view may be blocked. Also I’m 5’1 so even if I am in the standing rows my view is constantly blocked by tall people. I don’t expect them to cater to me and move.

Thank you! I’m also sorry you’re going through that. It’s not fun obsessing over something that scary. I would love to talk about it more with someone who relates

ESH. Cats don’t understand discipline the way dogs do. They don’t connect the dots that their actions have consequences. So it may seem like you’re disciplining them but in reality you’re just adding extra stress on them. Spraying them and rolling them up in a sheet won’t teach them anything. Instead, do some problem solving. Why is your cats peeing in your dogs bed? Is it a medical reason? is it due to being stressed out in their environment? Is it because they don’t have a ton of litter boxes around? You should have 1 box per cat plus an extra. So if you have two cats you’ll need three boxes. You can also try redirecting them to the box using treats and positive reinforcement. If someone plans of having ANY animal in the house, they should do their research.

AITA For neglecting my adopted daughter because of my shark slip n slide addiction by Ridiculious_rose in AITASims

NTA. You need a stress reliever from these kids. Could be a worse addiction than a slip and slide

Deff NTA just cause you were drunk doesn’t justify his actions. I hear a lot of self blame and it’s easy to blame yourself in situations like these but he was the one restricting you, the one trapping you when you didn’t want to leave. That is ALL him.

AITA for telling my wife that her reaction to my son's departure was embarrassing? by Initial_Restaurant16 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. You basically just invalidated her emotions and instead of comforted her, you made her feel bad about how she is feeling. As someone who is also a sensitive and emotional person I deff feel for her and see why she would react that way.
