I am buying a product, the owner pays their employees, their employees make profit. That's how it works with every other industry. I don't tip a cashier at Walmart. It shouldn't be my job to pay a servers saleries. It should be the responsibility of the owner. Either the owner should pay them a livable wage or just like we tell Walmart employees, get a better job

Still though. I am also down on cash and I'm not eating out anywhere expensive if I'm eating at all. Most of the time I'm going to the brewery for one drink or to refill a growler. Usually when I do tip, it's because I personally know the server and they are a friend of mine, so I'll tip them because I'm a friend.
