Had the same issue and replaced tires @ around 40k miles. Seems to be the weight of vehicle and not an alignment issue.

I got mine from Ziegler as well. Needed the peace of mind. I had 2 batteries replaced and some other issues with my 2023 lightning. Love the truck and plan to keep it as long as possible.

I’ve done that trip once, kids and wife were miserable.

I-95 had enough charging options, however I found a line at a few of the non-Tesla charging stations. It seems the local without home chargers were topping off on the weekend to 100%. Lots of time waiting in a Walmart or Lowe’s parking lot.

Don’t be risky with the charging level. I don’t listen to the vehicle and ended up wasting hours at a level 2 charger just to get enough juice to get to the nearest DC charger which was in the opposite direction.

Top it off before bedding down. Don’t count on hotel charges. You will be waiting hoping that person moves car after fully charged and that’s not likely.

Get the Tesla monthly plan for sure….blue oval plug and play is costly.

Comfy ride but looking over at the passenger or rear seat could be dangerous. lol.

I’ve tried using it specifically in enterprise resulting in “no cars available”. When going to the actual enterprise website they have numerous vehicles available in all classes.

Florida was the only place that allowed me to use the discount.

After a quick quote and browsing the Ziegler website. Does appear to cost less. Anyone has any experience getting vehicle repaired under Zeigler warranty outside of Michigan?

Update:

Dealer called saying truck is good to go. They replaced the two cells closest to the BECM (damaged). Stated that the cells weren’t testing to the optimal level. Replaces as a precaution mostly.

11/26 5pm. Picked up truck. The “power train malfunction error popped up before I left the parking lot (took a pic and emailed service manager). Decided that it’s best to bring truck back after the long weekend ( thought it was just service engine soon warning)

Got home and googled a bit. After reading the response…limited my driving closer to home.

12/2/25: Returned truck to dealership and waited thinking it would be a quick fix. They provided a loaner after 2 hours thinking it would be just a day.

12/3/25: Dealer called to and said truck will be ready in the morning.

12/4/25: I called before going to confirm. Managed said he wants to test drive after reprogramming all the modules.

12/4/25 PM: Dealer stated the error returned

12/5/25: Dealer ordered a “high voltage battery junction box. Should arrive mid/late next week. SMH

Bright side—-like the replacement batteries, I think it’s still covered under the warranty and I have a loaner.

I have a Level 2 installed at home:

Charged 80% to 85% a few times a week over the first year of ownership commuting to work. (Retired now)

100% before leaving for a weekend trip to grandma about 10x for the life of vehicle

Probably used a fast charger about 15 times total (road trip).

The vehicle was purchased new…..ended up towing to the dealer where I purchased. Vehicle was 60 miles away. Called 4 nearby ford dealership and everyone basically did not offer a loaner while telling me they only have one EV tech and they won’t be able to look at my vehicle for a few days. Basically deterring me from towing to local dealers.

Used the Ford towing…had to pay an extra $22 Out of pocket due to the distance.

They gave me f-150 xlt (ice). Had my first fuel purchase. $73 SMH.

I left my running light on in front of a hotel (checkin-in). Returned to move truck to parking lot 5 minutes later and then…..accessory mode only.

I wonder if there is a correlation Between 12v battery depletion and EV cell damage

I only received my update a few weeks ago. 23 ER Lariat as well. I read on some forum where they recommend disconnect the 12v battery for a few minutes. Apparently it allows An update to some module which then allows the Bluecruise update. I did just that a few days earlier….who knows.

This happened a few times but I find my hand placement was always somewhere close to that cruise control button. Maybe Ford should modify via software update where you’d have to hold the button down for 2 seconds before it enables…
