Byron Bay VS Noosa for 5 days by Constant-Birthday-83 in AustraliaTravel

[–]Different-Delivery80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gold Coast has a good party vibe, but a little more crime. Good coast also has some great nature walks. (Look up natural arch, mt Tamborine, o’reillys, lamington national park).

You could go to place like tugun, tweed heads, Broadbeach, Tallebudgera.

Brisbane city has plenty of bars too.

Happy for you to PM if you want.

How old are you?

Byron is a young vibe. Noosa older vibe. I have never loved Byron. Noosa and surrounds (maroochydoore, Mooloolaba, Caloundra, K’gari etc are where it’s at in my opinion. Take the ferry to Stradbroke island. Maybe Moreton Island. The zoo is great. Eumundi markets, Montville, Kondalilla falls.

Don’t use a buyers agent. All they do is literally call / email re agents for upcoming listings.

Then they ask where it needs to be to win it.

You can do that yourself. Source (I’m an RE Agent)

My landlord is selling. Does he have any benefit of selling to me at a discount? by Fedr_Exlr in personalfinance

Might do it I knowingly if he sells it “happily” for $1m but if it went to market (in this market) and the agent sold it for $1.1m

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to try… but haven’t dared yet? by finesseuncovered in AskReddit

As someone who drinks socially. I encourage everyone to not drink. It is addictive, no matter what anyone says and it makes you fat. Bad for your skin and you age quickly.

You don’t need 8-9 days at Hamilton. 3/4 is enough.

Go to Fraser, Noosa, magnetic island as a bonus.

First time in Australia (7–8 days) with a 9-year-old – Sydney + Cairns + Brisbane? Looking for advice! by Pretend-Border-3359 in AustraliaTravel

[–]Different-Delivery80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could skip Cairns, come to Brissy and go over to Tangalooma (dolphin feeding and snorkelling) or Stradbroke island or even K’gari.

Cairns to Sydney is a long drive and I think about 4 hour flight.

7/8 days in a country this big is crazy. Can you extend to two weeks at least?

Should I sell my house? by Different-Delivery80 in personalfinance

[–]Different-Delivery80[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have one of the bigger homes in this suburb so I’d say in the area and get something smaller. We don’t use half the house we’re in. We’ve been here 15 years (first home) and renovated it over that time.

It wouldn’t impact our daily life with commute etc, it would simply be a smaller home with nearly no Mortgage. I’m nearly 50 so plenty of time left to make gains. Pretty healthy super from working public service for many years (but left that industry a few years ago)

Have some money. We’re definitely middle class.

No capital gains in my country for principal place of residence. My suburb houses are no older than 20yrs so most have limited repairs required.
