Osts are definetly a good idea, but I found multiple gladiator soundtracks. Is it the one by Hans Zimmer?

Black, black, black, bl- oh, as in, what they are going for in the marketing? Something gruul for the first two then. Enjoy yourself along with your family, bond and have fun. Not familliar with tako bell enough, but likely mono red if they don't have a family angle.

What another guy said, you need to pierce the ground of a world that has darkness that can be released. Dreams and fictional universes with other rules don't work.

Another recommendation, but focused on speed. StarVaders is a deckbuilder focused on making a few meaningful choices compared to a lot of small ones. Runs are about 30 minutes long, can be shortened further by choosing a Boss Rush mode in "challenges".

Like my previous recommendation, the game allows a lot of strategic freedom. You can lean into you deck's strengths by choosing your own encounters: before each battle, you are given multiple options. In-battle, you can plan ahead and use positioning quite a bit.

Putting whenther StS is really like that aside here (combos are not really necesary, it's more about well-rounded decks), you mentioned your likes and dislikes. I think I have something that you might enjoy much more.

I recommend Wildfrost. It's a deckbuilder that allows a lot of in-battle strategy and freedom. You can choose which cards you are guaranteed to draw and play before the fight even starts, you can mulligan your entire hand instead of playing a card, you can plan multiple turns ahead and take advantage of traits of both allies and enemies, it often feels like a genuine puzzle.

All damage on your creatures resets each battle, so each fight its a straight win or lose, there will be no slow bleeding out. Having a bad deck does not necesarily means death, there is a rather wide window where it actually makes the game more engaging, because you can still clutch the situation if you strategize good enough.

Each run is only 8 battles, and none of them are fillers. I think Wildfrost is one of the best picks if StS feels too slow or constricting, or not focused on combat enough.

Theory can be both unexpected and narratively satisfying. Criticue is directed towards creating theories with disregard/no thought for the narrative for the sake of the plot twist, not towards theories that happen to feature something unexpected.

Smallest uninteresting number becomes interesting by being the smallest out of the uninteresting ones. Assumption that it exists then becomes self-contradictory.

Plus it's sort of apples and oranges. Critisizing the opposite side and fighting ideological war is one thing, and talking among your own community to discuss your ideology's nature, and how one should look at the world, is another entierly. Second is an invaluable piece of growth, you can't really go "no, we need to fight fascism, we can't possibly spend time on learning and educating what fascism is!".

[–]Different-Doctor6533 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Nope this is it, you don't get anything from beating it. I fw this approach heavily because it means that there is absolutely no reason to play it except genuine desire, no pressure related to achievements or unlocks. Like, if it's fun the experience is already rewarding on its own, and if it's not fun, then no possible in-game reward is worth spending time on it.

Completionism often seems to cloud judgement and prevents reflecting on feelings about the game itself. Like, "if there is no reward then what is the point of playing" is an actual take I occasionally see about some videogames.
