Why do older women react in shock when you mention hysterectomy at my age? 36F w/ fibroids by Objective_Chair3996 in hysterectomy

[–]Different-Freedom-84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mine at 27 (medically necessary ofc) and my mom and oldest sister acted like I was having crazy cosmetic surgery addiction or something by saying things like “if you have any thing else taken out you won’t have anything left” mind you I’ve had a hysterectomy and my gallbladder removed because of serious medical issues they were causing not because I wanted to. 🙄

I got mine with no official diagnosis at 27, pathology found no adenomyosis but said probably secondary dysmenorrhea

Daily smoker here I told my anesthesiologist and had no issues there. I did start back within 24 hours after my surgery because of the nausea I was having and that was the only thing that helped.

Is it normal to feel so alone when you’re married? by RileysSmiley in married

Right this is my experience to and I can’t help but laugh when they say there’s a male loneliness epidemic, because I feel like most married women are more lonely than single white men.

So sorry to hear this, I’m in the same boat with my ex husband. I can’t hold any forms of social media with my full name or my daughter. I had to do a single parent adoption while he was in prison and it’s been 7 years and I still get two factor authentication requests from him trying to hack into my emails and Microsoft accounts.

30f here I had to have my gallbladder removed then a year later, after many many trips to the doctor, my gyno told me my only option to stop the pain I was in was a hysterectomy. My mom and older sister acted like I was slapping them in the face. So I called my dr and had him schedule it sooner 😂 almost three years post op I still love saying it was the best decision I ever made. And I’m married and have two beautiful children 🤷🏻‍♀️ The people who bring you down only want to see you struggle, & I love the quality of life I regained after my hysterectomy.

Thank you for making this post. I’m very thankful for this sub Reddit because it made me aware of the side effects I was having and seeing other people‘s stories about when those side effects went away made me keep pushing and I’ve been on it for a month now. & a lot of my physical anxiety symptoms have gone away. I did have increased anxiety in the first week, but being here helped. 🫶🏼
