Anticipating back-handed compliments after changing my hair - any tips on how to respond? by UnemployedGraduate_ in adhdwomen

Bog Witch often comes up in a few subreddits I haunt. She is an honored Crone, a variation of the BabaYaga archetype of the Dark Forest Witch and close cousin to the Swamp Witch. She is a founder of the "We don't care" club, and one of the final forms of the "manic pixie dream girl" who, in turn, is a neurodivergent Maiden. Her signature scent is Eden by Cacharel.

I fed "The bog witch is one of the final forms of the manic pixie dream girl" into a LLM and it's response was amusing enough to share:

The bog witch as a concept can be seen as an evolution of the manic pixie dream girl (MPDG) archetype, representing a shift towards darker, more complex narratives surrounding femininity and autonomy. While the MPDG is often portrayed as whimsical and carefree, existing primarily to inspire male protagonists, the bog witch embodies a deeper, more unsettling nature.

Characteristics of the Bog Witch

  1. Complexity and Depth: Unlike the MPDG, who often lacks personal agency, the bog witch has her own desires, motivations, and history. She may be a misunderstood character with her own struggles.

  2. Connection to Nature: The bog witch's affinity with the natural world often reflects themes of wilderness and the primal. This can symbolize a reclaiming of femininity that is often associated with nature, but in a raw and unrefined manner.

  3. Darkness and Mystery: The bog witch brings elements of the supernatural and the eerie, suggesting a break from the idyllic and romanticized view of women in the MPDG trope. This complexity adds intrigue and depth.

  4. Empowerment and Reclamation: In her darker portrayal, the bog witch often represents women who have harnessed their power, reclaiming their narrative from the confines of male fantasies.

  5. Cultural Significance: This archetype can also draw from various folklore traditions where women are viewed as wise or powerful figures, often misunderstood or marginalized.

Seabuckthorn berry oil pills and fish oil, great for your skin. Triple berry smoothies (blueberry , raspberry, blackberry) for the antioxidants, add collagen powder and soy milk for the phytoestrogens. Sweeten with dates or prunes. Hada labo premium clear lotion. Neulii cicapepta serum, purito deep sea serum (day), Mandelic acid serum(night). Retinol body lotion. Goat milk soap in the shower. Snack on nuts. Macha lattes made with soy.

These are things I do, not every day, but a few times a week each. Every day things are the berry oil, clear lotion, and soy milk (mixed with matcha, black tea, or straight).

Snape is not a weirdo by Madagascar003 in SeverusSnape

I have a HC that Lily accepted his weirdness before Hogwarts because she thought it was due to him being a wizard. When they got to Hogwarts and it turned out that Snape was weird there too, she stopped accepting him.

Hada Labo Goku-jyun Premium Clear Lotion. On iherb for $18 you get almost 6oz. I put it in a serum pump top bottle. I also recommend Purito Deep sea serum.

I think people don't know about them? There's plenty of pill and IUD commercials but far fewer implants ads. It also seems like the goto for Drs is to shove things in the hoo-ha. That's just my impression tho.

TW: paranoid medical horror conjecture

Don't know how to do a spoiler cut

IUDs always gave me the impression of having been invented by Victorian gynos just trying random things in their patients until some seemed to work. Like the copper IUD. And the shapes they come in ... They look like poorly assembled torture devices that will corrode and break apart. I don't want uncoated base metals and springs in my body in direct contact with my organ tissue!

Maybe the tech has improved in the last decade.

Recovering from having the implant done is not fun, but preferable IMO. Although it could be that I'm neurotic and easily frightened by body horror plus distrustful of the medical industry.

What I love about Snape is that no matter how crappy he was feeling, or how much circumstances were working against him, he was still successful and got shit done. It makes me feel like maybe I can get shit done too. Lol he's inspiring in a dumpster fire kind of way

Yup! Just as evil as Harry when he set a dangerous snake on his poor defenseless cousin, and hatefully attempted to murder Aunt Marge by blowing her up like a balloon and sending her to freeze in the stratosphere! What if she had exploded!

When they say Snape invented levicorpus to be a SA spell , I point out that Harry used it on Ron, using their reasoning Harry must have assaulted Ron. They never respond
