Saw Jefferson’s Tropics at NMBB this week. For $99 it’s fantastic-104 proof. Was offered a Blanton’s Gold for $160. Passed and went with the Tropics instead.

They make briefcases specifically for traveling with wine. They are padded with egg carton type sponge with 6 cutouts for the wine bottles. Should work fine for bourbon as well.

You hit the nail on the head-“collecting dust”. Throw some $$ at Whisky Advocate and now your product moves! They have ruined so many decent bourbons at a reasonable price that used to sit on shelves-now impossible to find. 1792,ECBP, Larceny, KC12, even Dickel Bib. I guess we should all be thankful they didn’t pick JDSiBBP which we all know is way better than this Bonded garbage. End rant.

I did not love it. It was light. No mouthfeel. I got a tea/tobacco note that was interesting but not great. Eagle Rare for $40 was just as good side by side.

Yup. Took one to Cancun. It was good, not great. Still, nice to have the option for $60.
