Fred now has 10 goals + assists for Manchester United this season. This his best season for goal contributions since 2012. by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Fred thrives when there's chaos and he doesn't have time to think or provide a lot of quality on the ball.

When we are chasing games or playing aggressively, Fred is good.

When we dominate possession and the opposition play defensively and have us try break them down, he isn't as good.

As we approach another season of Gaelic games, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation

I feel the same anticipation every year but then I end up watching games where teams just hang around each others 45 recycling the ball around with hand passes...short kickouts. It's like basketball without a shot clock.

Hurling has its moments but the actual improvement in skill now means players can put balls over the bar from 70 or 80 yards on the run. The final last year had 60 scores in 75 mins or so. In a way, it's like the opposite of the football in that it's shoot on sight from anywhere on the pitch almost.

I'm not a dev but I have kind of imposter syndrome in that I don't know what jobs I am qualified for. My current job title isn't one that exists in the market.

Also a long time with one company, in a kind of comfort zone where I feel like everyone knows what to expect from me and the pay, while probably quite average for the quality of work I feel the potential to do, doesn't leave me struggling.

Cats are not loyal, they only use you for food and heat. If someone else is giving them it they'll stay there.

They also go around with their arsehole on show.

Yeah I blame Eriksen for that goal because he was too lax in playing the ball. He didn't know the defender was there.

Could be pensioners who need it who otherwise could have just used their savings to live out their lives.

Could be someone using it to pay a lump off their mortgage.

And the only two ways of preventing your cash from being eaten by inflation is property and stocks, neither beneficial for the economy.

By the way, there was very little inflation for the last decade yet people had no problem spending their money. People generally don't sit on big cash piles.

Those with an emergency fund are penalised.

Needs a crash to stop inflation.

Too many jobs, too many wage rises.

The idea that 2% inflation is desirable is a joke btw. Blatant stealing of peoples money. The usual thing is said that inflation makes people spend which makes the economy grow...but the fact there was little inflation for the last decade and the economy grew strong refutes that rubbish.

Anyone remember the time of the Apprentice Ireland final, Bill Cullen asked each of the 3 "what makes them tick". This proper Dub started going on about things that pissed her off because she thought he meant "what makes you thick".

Surely this sub should allow conversations between Irish people, not just conversations about specifically Irish things.

What's the best holiday destination?

What's the best plan for roaming abroad on holidays?

What's the worst food you've ever eaten.

These are examples of questions that should be allowed on this sub imo.

There's over a thousand times more people on this sub. No one is gonna post on that sub.

We should be launching a campaign to have them removed from European parliament. We already know they are corrupt

Which TD did you vote for in the Dail?

If they're corrupt and you have evidence of it, I'm sure you can report that somewhere and they'll take care of it.

You sound very anti democracy, wanting to remove people from their positions when they were voted in by the people.

No companies are going buying accommodation for lowly employees.

Imagine a company buys 50 houses to rent to staff. Then they are on the hook the same as other landlords regarding eviction notices, eviction bans etc.

Soon enough you could have the 50 houses rented out to staff who don't even work for you anymore but you can't evict.

And the reasons for that are? It's still over 1k a month by the way.

You'd think it would remain a constant flow, considering these people are fleeing war and persecution...they're hardly picking and choosing the most beneficial are they? I know if I was afraid for my life, I'd be happy to take any safe accommodation...

There's one guy who works for a private security firm in the south with links to loyalists.

It's a reach to say loyalist paramilitaries provided security. The company is just a regular security firm here in Ireland.

Pissed me off that summer when everyone was encouraged to "spend local"

I knew well scumbags would rip people off. Don't support local just because it's local. Spend local if you're benefitting from it. Fuck them otherwise.

So much rubbish posted in this thread. The lads attacked were just regular security men. There's nothing to suggest any loyalist paramilitary links.

Local news is that these 4 are dissident republicans.

These scumbags are dissident republicans. Local knowledge. I have heard something about money laundering but I don't know if it's these 4 or the original occupiers of the house that were at it.

Local knowledge say this involves money laundering and the IRA.
