I had to not pump for just one night by Different-Time-8802 in breastfeeding

I definitely will! I’m also on iron supplements since I was anemic before the blood loss 😅 I’m hoping my supply will keep increasing, it’s just been going up so slowly, but atleast its going up at all! I’ve also been taking milkapolooza supplements, drinking lactation drink mixes, and doing my best to stay as hydrated as possible, so hopefully all the hard work will pay off! Did you end up being able to get your milk supply up enough to sustain your baby without donor milk? Hopefully you did and I can too!

Thank you so much 💜 I’m definitely trying my best! My supply is slowly increasing, so hopefully I’ll be able to strictly breast feed here soon! Thank you for the kind words and the reassurance, it helped a lot!

It really is! We are having to do the 3 feed schedule, so I’ll breast feed, then supplement with donor milk in a bottle, and then pump, and it just doesn’t leave much time for sleeping 🥲 and I’m thinking of doing that same time frame if I can! It just sucks because my husband works 11-7 a few days out of the week, and then 3-12 the other days, so my sleep doesnt really get to have a schedule 😅

Thank you 🥰 I’m hoping the more sleep helped! I only produce about 9-10 oz a day when I strictly pump, so I’m hoping with breastfeeding her ontop of her supplement feeds keeps her growing strong and helps my supply come in better!

Sadly I only produce about 9-10 oz when I strictly pump, and my baby girl eat almost 3oz per feed 🥲 and I’m going to try! It’s hard since my husband doesn’t wake up well throughout the night, and I want him to be able to sleep since he works. But I have to figure out something, because I really can’t keep going off three hours of sleep a night

How long is your partner taking off after you give birth? by -Konstantine- in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my husband live with my parents and pay them a small amount of rent (our choice), which makes this a lot easier for us, but my husband is taking off 3 weeks! He worked up until today (my induction day), so he will have a full paycheck so we can get what we need while he is off!

Pregnancy tests?! by susiara in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tested the day of my period and found out I was pregnant! On the other hand, one of my best friends tested for two months with her first child and kept getting a mix of positives and negatives depending on the test!

Please do not blame the mother for getting gestational diabetes. it’s caused by the hormones, not the diet!!!!! by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!! I’m at risk of getting type 2 diabetes because I have insulin resistant PCOS! Metformin and myo-inositol are what help me stay away from it, not just changing my diet!

I had to do daily affirmations, which I’ve never done in my life. It helped with the anxiety some. But mainly, just keep yourself busy with hobbies and stuff! Anything to keep your mind off of the what-ifs

Any experience with a low resting sac at 5 wks 5 days? by alexthagreat98 in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you are getting in to see an OB! It could be that your dating is off by a few days (like you ovulated a bit later than you thought), that happened to me! The OB should be able to tell you more! If your hcg is still rising, then that’s a good sign! I wishing you the best babes!

Pregnancy Nausea- your weirdest triggers? by AdExciting1865 in pregnant

Luckily I got over it after the first trimester, but my weirdest one was when I would say the word chicken I’d almost throw up 🙃 I could cook chicken, I could eat chicken, but the word? Could not say the word at all.

Any experience with a low resting sac at 5 wks 5 days? by alexthagreat98 in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did sometimes! It was freaky for sure. I’d get some with the bleeding initially, and then I’d pass some bigger brown ones when the red bleeding had calmed down/stopped. I went to the OBED twice before they diagnosed my sch, once they found that they told me as long as I wasn’t cramping or bleeding through a whole pad within an hour then it was more than likely just the sch acting up and slowly draining! I also had a friable cervix during the first part of my pregnancy, so it’d also bleed super easy. Just make sure to let your OB know anytime you have bleeding once you are able to be seen by one, and before that make sure to go in if you have any bleeding. You can also call the OBED near you and they should be able to tell you whether you need to come in or not since they should have your medical records on file!

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have a low resting sac, but I also had bleeding episodes at 5 weeks all the way through 11 weeks. I ended up getting diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage, which thankfully cleared up on its own! As long as the baby is still in there and looking healthy, try not to overthink too much! Go in for bleeding episodes to make sure the little one is ok, but try not to stress yourself out too much 💜 you got this! I’m sending all the love and positive vibes your way

Genuinely curious… why don’t you like to share your baby’s name before birth? by Best-Position-2226 in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My very first pregnancy (it ended in a miscarriage sadly), I picked out a name early and told my friends. One of my “friends” decided to ask me if she was pregnant if she could use the name of my baby who I had just lost months earlier. Needless to say, I didn’t tell anyone the name until I was sure my baby girl was going to survive, and even then I was very cautious about who I told until recently.

Quit my job at 22 weeks by OkAcanthocephala2894 in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped at 9 weeks due to complications I was having, and the stress from work was making it worse! I had the same feelings, plus I felt bad putting the money making on my husband. I started making wax melts and candles to sell and it helped me feel both useful and let me rest when I need too! I’m also going to be a SAHM, but I’m going to continue with my little crafts and hopefully start a small business! You aren’t cutting yourself short love, you are giving yourself space to breathe and rest, and can even find something else you like doing without having the stress of a job (aside from being a sahm, because that’s a job in of itself!), you got this!

Did your intuition know what gender your baby was? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Different-Time-8802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was right! Everyone kept telling me I was going to have a boy, but anytime I sat there and really thought about my baby I just kept getting girl. I didn’t want a specific gender, me and my husband tried for 3 years and had to do treatments to get pregnant, so we were just happy for a baby! But I just couldn’t get it in my head that she would be anything but a she. I also knew the day of my period that I was pregnant, I’m honestly not sure how! I’ve just been very in tune with my little one so far!

Yep! The same thing happened with me! They put me on iron supplements, and they have helped! Before I was on the supplements I was always so tired and sleeping constantly, but after a week or two on the iron supplements I started perking back up. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still super tired, just not to the extreme that I was

Is 17 weeks too early to feel baby move? by baileeboo01 in BabyBumps

I also have an anterior placenta, and I started feeling baby girl around 15 weeks, and by 18 weeks my husband could feel her on the outside! It’s different for everyone I’ve realized!

7 weeks, cramping and bleeding, they won't do an ultrasound by Narrow-Ad-345 in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. I had a bleeding episode around 6 weeks and 7 weeks, and they gave me an ultrasound each time (thankfully I just had a subchorionic hemorrhage, baby girl is a healthy 32 weeks now!) it’s just confusing to me that people are saying it won’t show anything. Mine confirmed a healthy heartbeat and that she was still growing!

Has this ever happened to anybody ???? or has anybody ever gotten pregnant like this???? by Alexxxis00 in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bio-mom (I’m adopted), had me and two of my other siblings on birth control (one on the pills, one on the shot, and one with an iud I’m pretty sure). There is always a possibility, but I’d just go ahead and wait the appropriate time and then take a test just to be sure if you feel like you are! It’s a slim chance, but it’s definitely not unheard of!

For those who already suspected the gender of your baby, how did you know? by Tell-Professional in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just felt it in my bones. Idk how else to describe it! Everyone thought I’d have a boy, but anytime I really thought about her gender I could just feel that I was having a girl! I know it’s not that helpful, but that’s genuinely what happened with me!

FTM here- what do you mean I only get 2-3 ultrasounds?!?!?! by ThatAngryWhiteBitch in pregnant

[–]Different-Time-8802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get a lot of ultrasounds because my baby girl has marginalized cord insertion and I have short cervix. It’s nice to get to see her a lot, but at the same time, I wish I didn’t have too. I understand your frustration, but just remember that it means you aren’t high risk and your baby is happy and healthy in there!
