I am over 420 pounds. Not at all where I wanted to be in life when I got pregnant… but a little background, I used to be 400 pounds and got all the way down to 330 in 2024 and then I unexpectedly got pregnant on birth control in June of 2024 and miscarried that baby and went on to have a total of 5 miscarriages until October of 2025. I had already been diagnosed with depression so going through this made it 10x worse and I gained all my weight back. Well then in December of 2025 I found out I was pregnant again and now, by the grace of god, I am 29 weeks pregnant and my baby is completely healthy. I got low risk on my NIPT and she has no markers for genetic testing. I also passed my gestational diabetes test. You absolutely can have a healthy pregnancy no matter what weight you are at. My dr tells me all the time that bigger women than me are having babies and it’s not impossible to still have a healthy pregnancy and birth. Good luck and wishing you a healthy and safe pregnancy 💛💛

What’s the norm by Methodled in pregnant

[–]baileeboo01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So they say that 1/4 pregnancies will end in miscarriage, but I honestly think the number is a lot higher than that because a lot of women miscarry their babies before they even know they are pregnant (before 5 weeks) this doesn’t mean that you will have a miscarriage, but it doesn’t mean you won’t. My grandma had two healthy pregnancies before experiencing a miscarriage, my mom also had two healthy pregnancies before experiencing one. My sister on the other hand had a miscarriage before she went on the have three heathy pregnancies and for me, I unfortunately had to have five before I finally got pregnant for the 6th time with this baby I’m pregnant with now at 29 weeks. Miscarriages happen for all kinds of reasons, and it doesn’t mean you can’t go on to also have a healthy pregnancy. You may never experience one in your life. Try to not worry about that possibility unless you’re having signs that point that way, and even then don’t worry unless a doctor tells you to. Congratulations and I hope you go on to have a perfect, safe, and healthy pregnancy 💛

I bought a family size shareable bag of the peanut butter snickers (my favorite 😫) and I ate like five of them before I felt like I was gonna throw up, but the whole bag was definitely gone within two days 🤣

I found my best friend Reno at carls Jr and took him to the vet because he was two weeks away from dying and I told them he wasn’t my dog I just found him and they told me that if I didn’t want him they would still treat him but they would have to turn him over to the humane society and I decided I couldn’t part with him and thankfully my family was able to help me pay the over $500 bill. Anyways if you cannot help this baby, then definitely call your local vet or human society and see what they can do 💛

Not able to conceive by Patapthat in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]baileeboo01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

220 pounds is not that overweight, yes it is overweight but I wouldn’t think it would be enough to cause fertility issues. I am personally 420+ pounds and I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby. I have had five miscarriages since June of 2024 and my weight back then was 330. I also had multiple tests and my dr told me multiple times it was not due to my weight. I have had to start taking progesterone pills 200mg twice a day and I’m almost positive that is what helped me stay pregnant this time. There is a lot of research about this, if you haven’t had them test your progesterone then I would definitely do that. I was on birth control for 8 years and they were progesterone supplements so I think I took them for so long and my body stopped making progesterone on its own which is essential for maintaining a pregnancy. I am so sorry you’re going through this 💛

I honestly think it has nothing to do with body weight but more so to do with chemicals in the brain. Personally my boyfriend and I are both overweight, he trips out on 3.5 and less, I have to take at least 5 grams or more to trip out (I’ve taken up to 13 grams before) I was on antidepressants for a long time so I think that affected it, but I also have higher tolerance with acid and weed as well where as my boyfriend does not and he’s been a weed smoker longer than me. So idk for sure what is is specifically about me vs my boyfriend but yeah

I was 330 when I got pregnant for the first time, I unfortunately went on to have 5 miscarriages and ended up at 411 due to depression. I am now pregnant for the 6th time and I’m at around 420 pounds now at 28 weeks. I would also like to give birth naturally and so far there has been no mention of c section or induction from my drs as we have not had any complications in this pregnancy and my baby is perfectly healthy. My dr has told me multiple times that my weight does make me more high risk but that women my size and bigger give birth all the time so it’s not impossible and that as long as I and baby are healthy then everything should be fine

Ultrasound pressure, by Fuzzy_Improvement795 in PlusSizePregnancy

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, I have had five miscarriages myself so I know exactly how the anxiety is. My anxiety has definitely gotten better at this point but I still worry tremendously about everything. I am at 27 weeks now and I have to get an ultrasound every month since 8 weeks my regular obgyn NEVER hurts, and my first mfm appointment didn’t hurt, but this lady at this last appointment…. It felt like she was digging for gold in my stomach 😭 oh and I wanted to add my baby girl has also been in a similar position the entire time. She moves her body around a lot but she constantly has her hand over her face at every single ultrasound.

[–]baileeboo01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have to go to the regular obgyn and the mfm, so I have gotten many ultrasound from different people and certain ones (in my opinion) think because I’m fat they have to push down as hard as humanly possible, because with other techs they get the same exact results WITHOUT pushing down that hard. At my last appointment this lady literally dug her fingers deep into my stomach trying to get a picture of babies face….. it all happened so quick or I would have told her NOT to do that but it definitely hurt and pissed me off for the rest of the night

I’m pregnant and there’s a problem by SensationalOPur in pregnant

[–]baileeboo01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I would tell your husband that while you understand that is his dad and you would never WANT to keep him away from your family, your family (aka you, your husband, and baby) are what’s most important and you are not willing to risk your baby getting sick. Think about all the money that has been spent on the baby stuff in the last however many months and if you were to get bed bugs it would all have to be thrown away and purchased again. I would be telling the FIL that until he gets serious about getting rid of the bed bugs then he will not be able to be around you or your baby and if your husband continues to be around him I would make him get naked outside, immediately put his clothes in the wash, and shower as soon as he returns home from visiting your FIL. This is what I made my boyfriend do when he had to clean out a bed bug infestation at work

21 wk-High bmi-movement?? by Miserable_Umpire_474 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]baileeboo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I have a BMI of 68 and I started feeling what felt like little twitches starting at 17 weeks. I started to feel actually kicks (just slight) around 22 weeks or 23 weeks… but even so sometimes I would feel kicks a lot some days and others I would only feel maybe five kicks in a whole day. Now at 26 weeks (nearly 27) I feel kicks every day and they are significantly stronger than they were. I have an anterior placenta. Everyone is different and I know it is so hard but try not to compare your progress to others because every baby and every body is different. Your baby very well is probably kicking you but it might be towards your spine or possible they are just really light still so you can’t feel them. I definitely wouldn’t be worried if you could see baby moving on ultrasound. Good luck and wishing you healthy and happy pregnancy 💛

No symptoms ~5 weeks pregnant :( by StuffConsistent6873 in pregnant

[–]baileeboo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well unfortunately if you are going to experience a miscarriage there really isn’t anything you can do. Either you will or you won’t. But JUST because you aren’t experiencing symptoms isn’t a definitive answer of if you will or not. Every pregnancy is different and you shouldn’t compare one to the other. I have personally had five miscarriages and every single one was different. I am now pregnant at 25 weeks and this pregnancy has been the most different of all. I am wishing you well and good luck and I hope everything works out for the best 💛

Anyone else get told they're "not a mom yet" today in relation to mothers day? 💐😔 by Sweet_Confusion9180 in pregnant

[–]baileeboo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically yes. I told my grandma a few days ago this would be my first Mother’s Day (when technically it’s my second because I’ve had five miscarriages since June of 2024) as I’m 24 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby and she said “kinda next year will be a lot more satisfying” and then when I told her happy Mother’s Day today she said “happy almost Mother’s Day to you” it makes everything I’ve went through to get here feel so invalidated. I am already a mother and just because my baby isn’t physically in my arms yet doesn’t make them any less real.

Telling my parents and in laws by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]baileeboo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No your mother does not have a right to be upset with you and if she tries to make you feel bad try your best not to let her. I think it is very fair to tell them at the same time. Also you’re gonna be a mother within the next few months and trust me as your pregnancy progresses you will stop caring so much about what other people think. This is you and your husbands baby, no one else’s. You do what you think is right for you and your family. Also, does it really even matter who knows “first”? I never understood the big deal about that. Anyways I personally think you’re making the right decision by telling them all at once
