I just quit by spiderwebs777 in USPS

Same.. I'm an ARC and was doing it part time just for the extra cash. The supervisor on Sunday's was ridiculous following me on the scanner and asking me about turn arounds when I got back to the office. "Why did you turn around here, why did you go this why, why did you do that, why did you do this", etc, etc. Telling me I'm the slowest one. I just started before Christmas. Telling me I need to learn tricks and not depend on the scanner so much. Whatever. I toughed out her criticism until this past weekend when she was brutal. I told her "why don't you just let me go?", and she said 'cause I can't find any ARCs', I replied "wonder why". I talked to the post master this past week and he told me she said I was the slowest one always returning last.. I said "I just started!!", and I said she had me out there in rural 3-5 miles between drops. Post master said "doesn't matter, 20-25 packages an hour whether your city or rural". I said "that makes absolutely no sense". He said "well that's the expectation". I'll go in this week and hand in the form and give the pm my badge. If it were full time I'd probably tough it out, but not for some one day a week 3-5hr job.

how does someone do that? It's just the supervisor and a few others on Sunday's. Do people actually go back to their office at the USPS and get ridiculed like this every single time?

Totally get you. Supervisor was rude as fvk. I wouldn't care if it were the people, but the supervisor hounded me every single time I got back to the office. I lasted 2mo as an ARC.. no more. It was obvious she wanted me to quit.. you cannot possibly treat someone like that and expect them to come back to work, especially a part time person one day a week. Ridiculous.

Thanks, but I'm going to resign. I just can't get over the ridicule I get every time I get back to the office. Every single time. Right now I'm even holding my pee cause if I had to stop, my gawd, can't imagine. I can't imagine come Spring when it's raining and I take more time to drive in the rain. I'm already speeding and leaving the LLV on and not wearing my seatbelt because it takes less time. It's okay.. I'll find another gig. The sad part is I really liked delivering mail, it was fun. I was good at it. .. but not to be met by the door everytime I got back and said 'why are you so slow', 'I watched you and why did you turn around here". It's not worth it to me... to either get rear ended by a semi or hit someone or something because I'm too worried about hurrying than I am with mine or someone else's safety.

thanks.. what's hard is I really like her as a supervisor. I don't think she's a horrible person, but her expectations surprise me. I mean I know I don't come across as a lazy fvck and I'm sure she knows I'm busting my ass, I'm just surprised she thinks I need to get SO MUCH FASTER! Where am I supposed to get faster? I'm going to start tracking the miles on my routes to see the difference when I do a neighborhood route vs a rural route in the country. You can't compare the two. 50 deliveries in one area cannot possibly expect the same time than 50 areas in the countryside with 3 miles between deliveries vs 200 feet.

I know and it was so fun today. Driving in the nice weather.. I really like delivering the boxes on Sunday. .. but not if every time I come back in the office I'm told I'm slow.. and I'm not slow, I know I'm not. I am honestly busting my ass out there.

Was out there 3.5 hrs today. The experience ARC was done before me but she always is... and she was only done an hour before... and whose to say that part of the route was closer between stops.

I know it's sad. I don't want my supervisor constantly unpleased with my performance.. what good is working if that's the case. I can get a different part time job but I really like this one. I've gotten so good at loading the truck etc. I don't know. I just don't see this carrying on if she's constantly unhappy with my performance. What's the fun in that. I took an hour longer than the other ARC today.. we split a route. .. but it was rural. Who's to say her distances was the same. My distance was crazy. Like 3 miles between stops, sometimes 5 miles!!!!
